La Escuela Confuciana Jinjam Hyanggyo fue establecida como santuario y para orientar a los estudiantes en 1405 (5º año de reinado del rey Taejong). No se ha podido encontrar información más detallada en los documentos que se poseen de aquella época. El edificio que sigue en pie se llama Daeseongjeon, y en su interior están guardadas tablillas ancestrales.

El Museo Hanbat es un museo de carácter educativo fundado el 10 de julio de 1992 con el permiso del Ministerio de Educación.

En sus múltiples salas se exhiben casi todos los objetos y artículos relacionados con la educación, desde libros académicos, publicaciones y útiles escolares, hasta reportes y apuntes elaborados por estudiantes.

La sala 1 presenta la historia del sistema educativo de Corea según las épocas (desde la dinastía Joseon). En la sala 2 hay documentos sobre Corea en su tiempo colonial, y en la sala 3 se puede observar la evolución del sistema de educación coreano desde la independencia hasta la actualidad. Cada sala del museo presenta exhibiciones temáticas tanto culturales como educativas, que permiten conocer a fondo la excelencia de la cultura coreana en general.

El edificio principal del museo antes era un escuela construida el 8 de junio de 1938. Durante la Guerra de Corea sirvió como base para los militares coreanos y americanos, y aún se pueden observar marcas de tiroteos. Por su alto valor histórico fue nombrado como Tesoro Regional N° 50 de Daejeon.

Sungsimdang abrió sus puertas en el año 1956 como una pequeña tienda de venta de jjinppang (bollo al vapor relleno de judías rojas).
