The Korean Naval Academy Museum was opened on January 17, 1976, on the 30th anniversary of the Korean Naval Academy. When it first opened, the museum consisted of only a small exhibition room, but later saw the addition of a life-sized, ironclad Geobukseon (turtle ship) on January 31, 1980. On February 23, 1981, an independent museum was built and on April 28, 1990, the museum was expanded to its current size.

Jinhae NFRDI Environment Eco-Park (Inland Water Eco Park) is located nearby the Nambu Inland Water Research Center with an area of 83,897㎡ which serves as a habitat to diverse organisms. This environmentally friendly park boasts a splendid natural landscape with over 65 different species of trees (sheepberry, willow, boxwood, cherry blossom trees, etc.) and abundant flowers (golden reed, hosta, water canna, irises, etc.). The area around Yeojwacheon Stream is well known as one of Jinhae’s best spots for viewing cherry blossoms. It is also the location of the bridge where the two leading characters, Gwanu and Chaewon of "Romance (2002)," MBC’s TV series, first met as tourists who came to Jinhae to enjoy Jinhae Gunhangje Festival. After the episode was aired, the bridge instantly became popular and widely known as the Romance Bridge. Each April, the entire city of Jinhae is filled with cherry blossoms, but the Yeojwacheon Stream area has the most beautiful cherry blossoms which makes it a prime tourist attraction.

Jangboksan Sculpture Park stands as the unofficial gateway to Jinhae at the end of Jangbok-ro Road between Masan and Jinhae. Built in 1979 in the wake of a mountain landslide, the park offers a panoramic view of Jinhae and its quiet waters. In spring, more than ten thousand cherry trees interspersed throughout the pines come to full bloom, permeating the air with their sweet fragrance.

Nearby attractions include Daegwangsa and Jinheungsa Temples, the Citizens’ Hall, the Gyeongnam Literary Hall, and Jinhae Park Land, located halfway up Jangboksan Mountain. To visit these attractions and explore the beauty of the forest, simply follow the walking trail from Jinhae Girls’ High School to the park (1.5 kilometers) and continue walking along the path from the Jangboksan Rest Area to Gumajin Tunnel (1 kilometer).

From Pungho-dong, follow Haengam-ro for four kilometers and cross the small mountain pass to reach Suchi Village and Suchi Beach. Nestled in the mountains facing the quiet sea, Suchi Village was once a small village with only a few inhabitants. In recent years, the city has grown dramatically and draws a steady stream of visitors who come for hoe (sliced raw fish), a local specialty served fresh all year round.

The town and its main beach boast a variety of amenities including hoe restaurants, accommodations, and parking lots. Happo, the nearest town, also offers plenty to see and do and surrounds visitors with forests and other natural wonders. Happo is famous as the site where Admiral Yi Sun-Sin (1545-1598) achieved many victories against the Japanese navy during the Imjin War (1592-1598).
