Wentteok Village gets its name from the word “Wentteok” (meaning “unexpected windfall”) and is a slow food village located in Jungneung-ri, Wonsam-myeon, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. At the village, you can make traditional rice cake from fresh seasonal ingredients or make a tteok (rice cake) cake and have your own small party.

The village is a great venue to learn more about tteok (rice cakes) and to enjoy other hands-on activities such as eco-friendly farming activities and other traditional activities.

Anseong was the birthplace of namsadang, troupes of entertainers who traveled around the country during the Joseon era, and the hub of Korean art and culture. Namsadang Baudeogi Festival aims to develop and continue the heritage of the artistic spirit of Baudeogi by providing various traditional performances and events. The festival also became designated as the official festival of UNESCO's CIOFF (International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts) in 2006.

Namsadang refers to performance troupes which started during the late Joseon period (1392-1910). At the time, Namsadang troupes traveled throughout villages, entertaining the people with traditional performances such as pungmulnori, tightrope walking, and more. Regular Namsadang performances in Anseong first began in order to commemorate Anseong Namsadang, known to be the best of all Namsadang troupes, and the troupe's leader, Baudeogi.

Namsadang is a renowned troupe that combines regional traditional arts, such as acrobatics, singing, dancing, and circus performances that originated from the Anseong area. The troupe was formed in honor of Baudeogi, a celebrated artist of the Joseon dynasty and Korea's first official female entertainer.

Namsadang performs on an ongoing basis and also focuses on developing and promoting various hands-on Namsadang programs. Through their world tour, Namsadang plays a big role in spreading Korea's culture internationally. The annual Baudeogi Festival is also a great opportunity for visitors to take in various performances and take part in activities.

Anseong Machum Land (안성맞춤랜드)

Anseong Machum Land is a resting place in the forest for Anseong citizens, and at the same time, it is a place for culture and arts. It offers a variety of things to see and do including: Namsadang Performance Hall, where visitors can watch folk and cultural performances by Namsadang troupe; Anseong Machum Culture & Craft Center; Anseong Machum Astronomical Observatory; Fountain Plaza; Waterside Park; Wildflower Garden; and Cypress Tree Forest. Also, every October, the city hosts the Namsadang Baudeogi Festival, an event dedicated to Baudeogi, the first and only female leader of the Namsadang troupe of the Joseon dynasty. Icheon Termeden, Korea's first German-style spa resort, is spread over an area of around 30,000 square meters. It is located next to a thick forest, so visitors can enjoy the water and spa facilities as well as take a stroll in the forest. The water park has a very large bade pool, a hot spring spa, sport facilities, arcades, a cultural hall, and other subsidiary facilities.

Unlike Japanese-style spas, which contain mainly hot baths, German-style spas are more focused on water massages. Water jets located in the bade pool shoot out water, which massages various parts of the body and at the same time revitalizes the skin. In addition, you can walk, swim, or exercise in the water stream pool, which has a depth of 120 centimeters.

Icheon Termeden started as a hot spring spa, but it plans to expand further into a multi-resort complex, which will include hotel and condominium facilities, an arboretum, a golf driving range, and horseback riding.
