Dongtan Central Park is a sports facility and park in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do. Completed in 2008, the facility has a variety of sports amenities and equipment as well as a recreational area for the public to enjoy light exercises in the park. The sports field at the center of the park is the largest of its kind in Korea, comprising a soccer field, futsal field, Gateball court, tennis court, inline skating trail, basketball court, climbing wall, and much more. Yungneung houses the remains of King Jangjo (1735-1762; also known as Crown Prince Sado) and Queen Heongyeong (1735-1816; Lady Hyegyeong of the Pungsan Hong clan), while Geolleung houses the remains of King Jeongjo (1752-1800), King Jangjo’s son, and Queen Hyoui (1753-1821). King Jeongjo is said to have expressed his wish to be buried here to stay close to his father.
