Jeongdok Library opened in January 1977 on the former site of the Gyeonggi High School in Bukchon, Jongno-gu, Seoul. As a public city library, it boasts little under half a million books and 16,300 reference materials. The Seoul Education Museum in the library houses a collection of 12,000 reference materials.
In addition to basic library functions (lending books and offering archives and reading rooms to the public), the library runs various cultural programs such as monthly lectures by invited authors, photo exhibitions, reading seminars, and music/dance performances.

Locaed in Iui-dong, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon Museum has one basement floor and two above-ground floors, spanning over an area of 6,535 ㎡. Suwon Museum consists of two main exhibition halls, Suwon Museum of History and Calligraphy Museum of Korea, showcasing approximately 48,000 relics, and a planned exhibition hall for special occasions and exhibitions.
Suwon Museum of History recreates a scene of Yeongdong Market Street during the1960s. Children can learn and get secondhand experience of what Suwon was like in the past while adult visitors can reminisce the old times.
Calligraphy Museum of Korea is the first calligraphy museum built by a local government. The museum houses Korea's significant calligraphy works. The hall features a spacious area and its display cases are designed with cutting edge technology to highlight the relics on display. Exhibited collections include geumseokmun (metal writing), beopseo (calligraphic specimen of renowned artists of the past), works of renowned calligraphers during the Joseon dynasty, eopil (the writings of Kings), seogan (letters), works of renowned contemporary calligraphers, and more. Seoul Gyeongdong Market (서울 경동시장)

As the nation began to recover from the aftermath of the Korean War, farmers from the northern Gyeonggi-do region and Ganwon-do gathered around the old Seongdong Station (renamed ‘Hansol Donguibogam’) to sell their produce and wares. The farmers’ impromptu gathering on the fallow farmland to make their transactions soon led to the birth of a new marketplace. With the recent remodeling of the market, including the long-neglected Gyeongdong Theater, the place feels totally renewed and full of energy. Thanks to the renovation and diverse food stalls, the place is always bustling and filled with people.
