Seoul Namsan Gukakdang was established by Seoul Metropolitan Government as a representative traditional art-centered performance hall in 2007. It is comprised of one ground and two basement levels. The performance hall is located on the basement floor with 300 seats, equipped with facilities that deliver pansori sounds and gayageum music to every seat. Visitors can make a reservation at the Namsangol Hanok Village website.

Song won is a Korean restaurant located in Jangchung-dong Gourmand Alley. They specialize in high-quality Korean beef barbecue such as bulgogi and galbi, seasoned with a variety of 20 different natural ingredients. Additionally, they offer traditional Korean dishes like hot stone pot rice and noodles. Across the street, visitors can find Jangchung-dong Jokbal Street, and both Jangchungdan Park and Jangchung Gymnasium are within walking distance.

Chungdong First Methodist Church (서울 정동교회)

Chungdong Church, having being completed in 1897, was the first Christian church that was built after the spread of Protestantism in Korea. The church was founded in 1887 as a small worship house under the name Bethel by Henry Gerhard Appenzeller, an American missionary. As the number of followers increased, the building underwent construction and officially became a church in 1895. Chungdong Church is the only remaining church building from the 19th century. The church was expanded once more in 1926, changing its from a cross-shaped building to a square one. The expansion was made by adding walls using bricks as not to damage the original building structure. The architecture was built in a simplified version of an American gothic house with arched window frames.

Haepungbuwongun Yun Taekyeong's Jaesil (해풍부원군윤택영댁재실)

Haepungbuwongun Yun Taekyeong's Jaesil is a shrine house built by the father-in-law of King Sunjong of Joseon dynasty in 1906 when his daughter was proclaimed the crowned princess of Joseon and entered Changdeokgung Palace to later become Queen Sunjeong. Red pine trees salvaged from the demolition of Gyeongungung Palace were used to construct the house. It was originally located in Jegi-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, but was later restored and moved to its present location. The shrine of the house that was destroyed in 1960 was also restored.
Because the house is more of a shrine rather than residential living quarters, it has many unique features. For example, unlike other houses, it has the anchae (women’s quarters) located across from sarangbang (men’s quarters) with daecheong (living room) positioned between them.

Jeongdong Guksi features a rich soup with a clean taste, created by carefully removing the oil dozens of times while boiling Korean beef bones for 15 hours. The restaurant uses this same beef bone broth in their mandutguk (dumpling soup), something not many restaurants do. The rich flavor of the broth combined with the soft dumplings, made in-house daily, is a must-try. The restaurant is also surrounded by many cultural and artistic spaces, making it a great addition to tours in the area.

This is a seafood restaurant specializing in Ganjanggejang (Soy sauce marinated crab). The crab is plump and seasoned to perfection, making it an excellent accompaniment to steamed rice. The restaurant’s Gulgukbap (Oyster and rice soup), a winter favorite, is enhanced with seaweed fulvescens, which is rich in vitamins and iron, making it beneficial for those suffering from anemia. Side dishes include Cheongpomukmuchim (Mung bean jelly salad), Kimchi, and Kongnamulmuchim (Bean sprout salad).
