Running across from Dongmun Market in Jeju City, Sanjicheon Stream is home to a rich array of freshwater fish (e.g. sweetfish, gray mullets, Amur goby, and carps). In summer, it attracts hundreds of thousands of anglers as well as children.

The port, downstream from Sanjicheon Stream, is renowned for picturesque views of fishing boats, egrets, and seagulls. A restored Chinese sailing vessel is exhibited at the end of the stream for visitors. Along the stream are walking paths, a park, and music fountains, in which Sanjicheon Art Festival and a slew of cultural events and performances are held every summer and winter, attracting many visitors.

Nandreubadang specializes in Jeju black pork, which offers soft yet chewy meat and a light taste compared to regular pork. Customers can taste grilled black pork while admiring the fantastic ocean view; many people visit this restaurant just for the sake of the meat, despite the lack of famous tourist attractions nearby. For a basic serving of 2 persons, 600 grams of Jeju black pork is served with red-banded lobster soybean paste jjigae. Steamed eggs and corn cheese served outside the meat grill are also delightful delicacies. They also sell prawns that can be grilled with black pork and the seasonal conch skewers. Andeokgyegok Valley in Gamsan-ri Village is located 2 kilometers east of Hwasun-ri. The valley is filled with many species of pine trees that make up the Evergreen Forest, designated as Natural Monument No. 377. The road from the entrance to the waterfall offers a picturesque scenery. The view at night, when lit by nothing but the stars in the sky, is nothing short of spectacular.

Yongduam Rock (용두암)

Situated on the northern coast in downtown Jeju, Yongduam Rock is an estimated 10-meter-tall stone that has been worn down over time by strong winds and waves into a shape resembling a dragon's head. There are many legends surrounding the rock. One legend has it that a dragon stealing precious jade from Hallasan Mountain was shot down by an arrow from the mountain deity. When he fell down, his body immediately sank into the ocean and his head rapidly froze looking at the sky. Another legend has it that a white horse, who dreamed of being a dragon and ascending to the sky, came to be caught by a soldier and froze into the rock.

From Yongduam Rock, visitors can see haenyeo (female divers) working at catching seafood. Near the rock are various cafes, bars, and restaurants. The coastal road between here and Aewol-eup is popular among couples. Cafes and seafood restaurants began to appear there five years ago and now form a pleasant café village.

Dodu-dong Rainbow Coastal Road is a unique road located 10 minutes away by car from the airport. Locals had been voicing their opinions on adding colors to the protective walls installed along the coastal road in order to prevent cars from veering off the road and as a result, the walls came to wear rainbow colors. The road became famous among tourists and became known as the Dodu-dong Rainbow Coastal Road. It is fun to check out the various sculptures in the area including that of a haenyeo (female divers). Nearby Dodubong Peak is within a walking distance, and leads to the Olle Trail course, one of the hidden gems of Jeju Island. The slope is gradual so it is not a difficult course.
