Le fondateur du
royaume Baekje, Onjo a marqué un premier point d’arrêt à Hanam Wiryeseong. La
localisation exacte de ce lieu n’est pour le moment, pas encore précise. Neanmoins,
il est certain que les sites de Pungnaptoseong, Mongchontoseong, les tombes
royales de Bangie-dong et autres sont des traces historiques de l’ère Hansung.
A l’ouest de Pungnaptoseong s’échappe le fleuve Han alors qu’au sud, une route
le relie à Mongchontoseong. Au nord-ouest se trouve Achasanseong avec le fleuve
Han entre ces deux anciennes fortifications tandis que vers le sud-ouest vous
pourrez voir au loin Namhansanseong.
Pungnaptoseong
qui se situe à l’extrémité sud du pont Cheonhodaegyo est un site historique
datant du début de l’histoire de Baekje. Sa circonférence originale était de 4
km mais suite à la crue du fleuve Han en 1925, une grande partie disparut rétrécissant
la zone à 2,7 km de circonférence. Côté est, des empreintes situées à 4
endroits différents présument l’emplacement de la porte d’entrée de cette
ancienne fortification et l’excavation de reliques datant d’avant l’époque des
trois royaumes prouvent une présence humaine dans cette zone avant la fondation
de Baekje. Aussi, les résultats de récentes fouilles archéologiques laissent
penser que cette zone correspondait bien à la capitale du royaume de Baekje.
