La playa Jumunjin se extiende hacia la zona más septentrional de Gangneung, y se trata del mejor lugar para pasar las vacaciones en familia debido a la baja profundidad de sus aguas. La playa Jumunjin esuna playa de tamaño mediano, caracterizada por arena fina y aguas excepcionalmente azules. La magnífica vista de los pinos tras las arenas blancas sólo acentúa su belleza.

Cerca de allí se encuentra el valle Mureung, llamado así por su similitud con el jardín Mureungdowon, un paisaje de China, en donde podrá observar una cascada cayendo sobre una pared rocosa y vacas paseando. También, a poca distancia, se levanta una roca llamada Sikdangam, de la que se cree que antaño había sido usado como mesa para la cena, y el templo Geumgangsa que fue reconstruido en 1964. Las cascadas Guryong, compuestas de 9 diferentes caídas de variadas dimensiones, y el Manmulsang de Sogeumgang, que pareciera ser la versión minimalizada del monte Geumgangsan, son también sitios que no deseará perderse. Asimismo, se encuentra una legendaria roca denominada roca Adeulbawi (Roca del hijo varón), del que se creía que tenía poderes para ayudar a la mujer a tener hijos varones, y numerosas rocas y piedras de colores, que son lugares de gran interés para los turistas que visitan el balneario.
