El Museo Nacional de Daegu fue abierto el 7 de diciembre de 1994 con el objeto de conservar, estudiar y exhibir los bienes culturales de la región y de esta manera poder organizar cursos y programas educativos para la comunidad. Tiene un área de 101.904 m² y consta de 3 pisos en total, incluyendo 1 subsuelo. Dispone de distintas salas temáticas y áreas de exhibición. La Estación de Dongdaegu abrió el 10 de abril de 1969. Con la entrada del tren de alta velocidad (KTX) en 2004, la estación fue reformada. Siendo la mayor estación de Daegu, se sitúa en la segunda posición en número de pasajeros del país, después de la Estación de Seúl, y como la más concurrida, ya que casi todos los trenes de la línea Gyeongbuseon (Seúl-Busan), o los que van en dirección a Gyeongju, hacen parada en esta estación.

La calle Kim Gwangseok-gil es una calle de murales cerca del mercado Bangcheon de la ciudad de Daegu, donde solía residir el difunto cantante coreano Kim Gwangseok. El muro de 350 m de largo tiene estatuas y murales que muestran su vida y su obra. Cada otoño se celebra en los alrededores el Concurso de Canto Kim Gwangseok.

Jageumseong is in a building designed like an ancient Chinese palace, serving rare Chinese dishes in a great atmosphere. The authentic dishes are made of carefully selected ingredients and served by friendly staff. The unique recipes from different regions of China are combined with those of Korea. The restaurant won the Presidential Award in October 2007 on Tourism Day. It also obtained the ISO certification. The restaurant only uses olive and canola oil to make healthy dishes.

La Calle del Dakttongjip del Mercado Pyeonghwa tiene más de 50 años de historia desde su establecimiento en 1972. La calle se especializa en platos de molleja de pollo, que se servían como acompañante de las bebidas de los trabajadores que se juntaban en el mercado en la década de 1970.  En lugar de ser fritas en sartén, las mollejas de pollo se fríen por completo. El precio es económico y tienen un sabor exquisito.
