La Zona Turística Especial de las Termas Suanbo fue creada para reconocer la larga historia de estas termas en Corea. Se cree que las aguas termales han fluido naturalmente en esta zona desde hace unos 30.000 años, y sus efectos beneficiosos para la salud se conocen desde antaño. Manando desde una profundidad de 100 metros, las aguas son levemente alcalinas y rondan una temperatura de 53°. Contienen toda una variedad de minerales que sirven para terapias de rehabilitación y mejoramiento de la salud.

En el centro de la zona se encuentra el Parque Multang, que cuenta con un chorro de agua termal que se utiliza para baños de pies, un tratamiento ideal para aquellos que no pueden sumergir el cuerpo entero. La época del año en la que se reciben más visitantes va desde el otoño hasta la primavera. La mayoría de los visitantes se hospedan en hoteles y moteles por el área. También hay una buena oferta de restaurantes con delicias religionales.

Aparte de las termas, en la región también se puede visitar el monte Woraksan, el lago Chungjuho y el valle Seonggye.

Chungju wild flowers and old house visit is a traditional Korean house village located near Chungju lake, Salmi-myeon, Chungju. Originally, it is an old house for Choi Eung Seong built late in Chosun dynasty. It was once about to be destroyed as the result of building Chungju dam, but it was fortunately moved to the current location. Now, various traditional events or performances are held, and also used as a house for one night stay.
The owner sells wild flowers and operates a wild flower café, so it is finally named as Chungju wild flowers and old house visit. Around the garden with a well that actually operates, there are anchae, sarangchae and haengrangchae that together form the shape of square. In each building, there are rooms decorated nicely with old furniture, paintings and so on. You can also reserve a BBQ place. Outside the old house, there are lots of items that our ancestors used to use and behind the old house, great forests are located to come in harmony with the traditional house. In front of the parking lot, a half moon shaped pond is located and the old house, Hamwoljeong achieves a great harmony with it. Suanbo hot spring is within 10 minutes of driving from there.

Parque Nacional del Monte Woraksan (월악산국립공원)

El Parque Nacional del Monte Woraksan fue designado como el decimoséptimo parque nacional de Corea en 1984. Los estrechos arroyos, los elegantes árboles de pino verde y las peculiares rocas hacen de esta montaña un lugar aun más bello. Desde la cima Jubong, se puede apreciar el lago Chungjuho y todo el panorama completo de la montaña. Aun en verano, algunas partes de la montaña están cubiertas de nieve, y en aquella estación del año, la montaña pasa a llamarse Haseolsan, que significa nieve de verano. En la cumbre del monte Woraksan, podrá ver los pinos que han resistido a las innumerables tormentas y que mantienen su verdor durante todo el año. El amplio panorama del cielo abierto que se observa desde lo alto de la montaña es fantástico.

El monte Woraksan se encuentra a 1.097 km sobre el nivel del mar. Es famoso por sus pendientes escarpados y está compuesto de acantilados de 150 metros de alto y una base de 4 km. de diámetro. En las cercanías de la montaña se encuentra Chungjuhoban, el Parque Provincial Mungyeongsaejae, Uirimji de Jecheon, el sitio arqueológico de la fortaleza Danyangjeok Seonsa, el área de las cuevas de Seokheoam y muchos otros sitios históricos y culturales. Dentro del parque, hay muchas reliquias budistas como los templos Mireuksa y Doekjusa y muchos recursos culturales como como el santuario Maaebulmireuksaji, la pagoda de piedra Binshinsaji Lion, la fortaleza Deokjusanseong y la pagoda de piedra de tres pisos Sinreuksa.

La belleza del monte Woraksan se puede comparar con la del monte Geumgangsan, en Corea del Norte, y los Alpes. Con la abundante historia y belleza de esta montaña, se ha convertido en el lugar favorito de muchos turistas.

Museo de Caminos Antiguos (옛길박물관)

El Museo de Caminos Antiguos, que abrió sus puertas en 1997, ofrece un panorama de la historia de los caminos y rutas tradicionales en Corea. En el pasado, la zona de Mungyeongsaejae fue un centro de transporte para los coreanos, particularmente durante el periodo Joseon. Mungyeongsaejae es el hogar de Haneuljae (una de las rutas más antiguas de Corea, establecida por primera vez en el año 156), Tokkibiri (una famosa ruta comercial) y la Estación de Yugok (un centro de transporte en el área meridional de Yeongnam). A pesar de que la importancia de las carreteras como rutas de viaje ha disminuido con el tiempo, su importancia cultural continúa en aumento, transmitiendo el rico patrimonio tradicional local a los visitantes. El Museo de Caminos Antiguos se reinauguró en 2009, como parte de la remodelación del Museo Mungyeongsaejae, dedicado a la historia de la región.
