La ciudad de Chuncheon se encuentra rodeada por los lagos de Uiam, Chuncheon y Soyang, por lo tanto, es un destino ideal para el recorrido turístico, ya sea en vehículo propio como también para el viaje en tren, ya que podrá apreciar un espléndido paisaje natural.

Si Seúl tiene al complejo turístico del río Hangang, Chuncheon tiene al arroyo Gongjicheon. Por las áreas recreativas de este arroyo hay un parque de esculturas, una fuente, recorridos en barco, paseos a orillas del arroyo y un escenario de espectáculos al aire libre, el puente Dohajugyo del rey Jeongjo, un centro infantil y un monumento para conmemorar a los soldados de Etiopía que participaron en la Guerra de Corea, etc.

En el arroyo Gongjicheon podrá disfrutar de los barcos turísticos, con excepción del invierno. De esta manera, tendrá la oportunidad de apreciar el paisaje de los lagos cercanos. En particular, en el mes de septiembre de cada año, se celebra el Festival Cultural de los Adolescentes en las orillas del arroyo. Es un festival organizado por el ayuntamiento de Chuncheon, y, los adolescentes podrán participar en varias actividades de música, canto y baile.

La tumba de Sinjangjeolgong (Sinjangjeolgong myoyeok) es el lugar donde se encuentran los restos del general Jangjeolgong Sin Sung-gyeom. Sin Sung-gyeom es considerado como el fundador del clan Pyeongsan Sin. Junto con Hong Yu, Bae Hyeon-gyeong y Bok Ji-gyeom, destronaron a Gung Ye y ayudaron a Wang Geon, fundador y primer rey de la dinastía Goryeo, a asumir el poder.
