Bonghwangjae Hanok Guesthouse exemplifies the quintessential hanok (traditional Korean house) experience. It is housed in a remodeled modern hanok, built in the 1960s. There are 4 rooms in total. La Fortaleza Gongsanseong es un fuerte levantado en la montaña desde el período de Baekje (234-678) en Gongju. El perímetro de la fortaleza es de 2,5 km y hay dos formas de recorrerla. Una, es comenzando por la playa de estacionamiento, entrar por la entrada del oeste, Geumseoru, y caminar a lo largo del sendero cementado. La otra forma es virar a la izquierda al principio del camino de cemento y caminar a lo largo del sendero de la cumbre de la fortaleza, llamada Sendero de Sanseong. El camino de cemento está bien trazado y se puede subir a través de él cómodamente. Por otra parte, el sendero de Sanseong tiene muchos recodos y el pasaje es estrecho, pero tiene la ventaja de caminar a lo lardo del río Geumgang.
Cuando comience la visita, el primer lugar al que arribará el Gongbungnu, frente a la aldea de Sanseong. Desde Gongbungnu, siga el sendero de Sanseong, atraviese la colina y entonces, arribará a Yeongeunsa, un pequeño templo construido en el 4to. año de reino del monarca Sejo. Frente al templo se encuentran la plataforma Manharu y el estanque Yeonji, y estos lugares son probablemente los sitios más bellos de la Fortaleza Gongsanseong. Desde aquí puede disfrutar de una adorable vista de la ribera del Río Geumgang. Siga el sendero un poco más hacia arriba y aparecerá el pabellón Imnyugak, conocido por ser el mayor entre los pabellones que hay dentro de la fortaleza. Desde aquí puede llegar a ver el río Geumgang, pero por causa de todos los árboles que crecen no es fácil tener un panorama abierto del sitio.
La Fortaleza Gongsanseong merece la pena ser visitada por su importancia histórica y cultural, y también por la preciosa ribera del río Geumgang y de los alrededores del sendero del fuerte. El recorrido completo es de unos 3 km de longitud y 110 m de altitud, y si anda a un paso tranquilo, le tomará unas 2 h y 30 min.
