El Parque Sejongno está localizado cerca del Centro Cultural Sejong de Seúl. Dentro del parque hay bancos de madera y zonas con sombra para que la gente pueda sentarse y relajarse. Auspiciado por el Ayuntamiento de Seúl, K-Food Festival Knock Knock es un evento de carácter gastronómico dedicado en especial a la comida coreana. Se instalan unos 15 camiones de comida que ofrecen platos de comida coreana que no son fáciles de encontrar en otros lugares, como crepe de kimchi, panceta y queso; rollo de caqui disecado con nueces y queso crema, brochetas de pollo con kimchi y salsa ssamjang, pollo frito rebozado con arroz acaramelado, bebida de arroz sikhye con calabaza, etc. Durante fines de semana largos y períodos festivos se agregan diversos eventos anexos como espectáculos, tiendas temporales de artesanías, etc.

Imun Seolnongtang (이문설농탕)

Imun Seolnongtang has been serving its hearty seolleongtang for over a hundred years since it first opened in 1907. Even its name has a long history: the word imun comes from Imun-gol, the now-obsolete name of the restaurant’s location, and seolnongtang, an old variation of the word seolleongtang. During the Japanese ocupation rule, the restaurant’s regular customers included Gijeong Son, the marathon gold-medalist at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. To make the rich seolleongtang broth, beef meat and bones are simmered for more than 15 hours. Try putting rice and minced green onion in your seolleongtang for a warm and tasty experience. Kkakttugi (diced radish kimchi), provided as a side dish, is also delicious.

Insa-dong Antique Art Street (인사동 고미술거리)

As of today, there are approximately 70 shops in the Insa-dong area that sell antique arts. Some of the products they sell include antique artworks, porcelains, woodcrafts, and metalwork. Visitors may even find rare and valuable products such as earthenware from the Silla period or white porcelain used in the Joseon dynasty. Each shop is a specialty store, authorized to sell product types that are of their expertise, ranging from antique furniture and traditional artworks to handcrafted items.

Plaza Gwanghwamun (광화문광장)

Inaugurada el 1º de agosto del 2009, la plaza ha sido remodelada como un espacio turístico y recreativo en los alrededores de la Sejong-daero, que se sitúa en el centro de Seúl. El área tiene una historia que data de 600 años.

Durante un largo tiempo, esta calle fue exclusiva para los vehículos, pero con esta última remodelación, ofrece un ambiente especial para las personas. Desde esta plaza se podrá observar el magnífico paisaje del palacio Gyeongbokgung, el monte Bukhansan, etc., y también se ha restaurado la antigua calle Yukjo, para transmitir un ambiente histórico y cultural a los ciudadanos y turistas que la visitan.

La plaza tiene una longitud de 550 m y una anchura de 34 m, se encuentra localizada en el corazón de Seúl. Está clasificada en varios rubros históricos y culturales para el entretenimiento de los visitantes: está el sector de restauración del paisaje de la calle Yukjo, el sector que representa la historia del antiguo Gwanghwamun, el sector cultural para la participación de los ciudadanos, el sector que conecta con el arroyo Cheonggyecheon, etc. Entre las esculturas y establecimientos artísticos famosos están: la estatua del Haetae (criatura mítica coreana), representación del paisaje histórico de la calle Yukjo, la estatua del Gran Rey Sejong, pantallas acuáticas que reflejan los imágenes de la escritura coreana “Hangeul”, etc., entre otras instalaciones tecnológicas y culturales.

Las dos estatuas de grandes dimensiones que representan esta plaza son la del almirante Yi Sun-sin y el Gran Rey Sejong. En los alrededores también se han instalado un estanque y una fuente de agua. La zona que conecta con el arroyo Cheonggyecheon permite el acceso cómodo al palacio Gyeongbokgung y al arroyo. Las aguas subterráneas que brotan de las estaciones de metro de Gyeongbokgung y Gwanghwamun son emitidas hacia el arroyo Cheonggyecheon por medio de un acueducto, y, como la estación de metro está conectada con la parte posterior de la estatua del almirante Yi Sun-sin, los visitantes pueden llegar a la plaza con facilidad. Normalmente, las calles de la plaza son utilizadas para la circulación de los vehículos, pero en caso de festivos nacionales, se restringe el tráfico para disponerlo como área de festivales.

Located in Gyeongun-dong, Jongno-gu at the very heart of Seoul, Sieunjae is a hanok with a longstanding tradition. It has three guestrooms including the anbang (main room), byeolchae (detached building), and jakeunbang (small room). The anbang is the only room with a living room, where various items of old furniture, including a comfortable sofa, create an antique atmosphere. The communal bathroom and toilets are supplied with toiletries, while the communal kitchen is equipped with cooking equipment and a washing machine. The house can be rented either as individual accommodations or in its entirety. As it is situated in Jongno-gu, at the very heart of Seoul, guests can easily reach many nearby major tourist attractions. Car users are advised to use the public parking lot as the house has no parking spaces. Entering by a small gate, the little flowerbed comes into sight. This old hanok shows traces of repair works on the tiled roof.

This hanok (traditional Korean house) is located in Seochon Village near Gyeongbokgung Palace. It is a modern C-shaped hanok centered around the inner courtyard, which is the first thing that the guests see after entering through the gate. While it is not expansive, white pebbles and a foot bath make this hanok a unique one. One can enjoy a foot bath while sitting on the porch.
The bedroom, which is located beyond the living room, is furnished with a queen-sized bed. Opening the screen doors brings one to the view of the kitchen area beyond the inner courtyard. A large table, plush sofa, and a small bookcase make the space ideal for books and discussions. Climbing the wooden ladder to the side of the kitchen brings one to the attic, which also doubles as a Korean-style room with a skylight. The kitchen is furnished with a refrigerator, microwave oven, gas stove, electric kettle, toaster, pots, utensils, wine glasses, and bottled water. There is a restroom with a bathtub. The standard occupancy of the house is 4 people.

La institución organiza exposiciones de todo tipo: arte oriental, occidental, coreano, de escultura, etc., por lo que es un destino imperdible durante una visita a Insa-dong. Más que ser un espacio destinado únicamente a las exposiciones, trata de desarrollarse como un complejo cultural artístico.
