Suseong Artpia, opened in May 2007, is a major art center in Daegu. It has specialized, independent spaces for housing performances, exhibitions, and art camps. The art center’s facade was designed to resemble a crane flying away with its wings stretched out in order to promote the image of Muhaksan Mountain (named as such because its shape is reminiscent of a flying crane or hak), the mountain on which the center is located. When viewed from the sides however, the center is shaped like a ship, as it was once the site of a large pond. With such an impressive exterior further highlighted by impressive lighting at night, water fountains, and landscaping, Suseong Artpia has become a rising attraction of Daegu. The center is equipped with a mega concert hall that can accommodate diverse genres of performing arts such as an opera, musical, ballet, theater, dance, music concert, and more.

Gachang Original Bread, a renowned steamed bun bakery in Daegu, is celebrated for its jjinppang (steamed buns), a beloved traditional snack in Korea. Cheongdo Seedless Persimmon Festival is held in October at an outdoor stage in Cheongdo-gun. ‘Bansi’ (seedless persimmon) features an astringent taste with a flat-shape, unlike the long-shape of gotgam (a peeled persimmon that is dried in the sun through natural drafts) spreading through Sangju and Yeongdong. The festival features various events and hands-on programs. This year’s festival will be held online to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Asadara is a Korean beef restaurant, set amidst a beautifully landscaped pine tree garden. At the meat corner, customers choose their meat and pay for it separately, plus an extra service charge for the meal. The restaurant's highlight is hanu sutbulgui (charcoal-grilled Korean beef), offering a dining experience akin to a Korean table d'hote. Beyond this, Asadara also offers an array of dishes, including jeonbok galbitang (abalone and galbi soup), yukhoe (beef tartare), and a bulgogi set menu. The name "Asadara" is inspired by Asadal, the ancient capital of Gojoseon, which dates back 5,000 years.
