Located in Sinpung-ri, Yulchon-myeon, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do, Aeyangwon Church (Reverend Son Yangwon Martyr Memorial Hall) commemorates Reverend Son Yangwon. He began his religious activities and relief efforts at a group home for patients suffering from Hansen's Disease located in Aeyangwon Church, but he was later detained at Yeosu Police Office because he refused to honor Japanese Shinto shrines in 1940.

The Memorial Hall's construction was completed on March 27, 1994 in order to commemorate Son Yangwon, who was shot and killed by the North Korean army during the Korean War.

The exhibition hall on the first floor displays photos of Son, photos related to Christianity, keepsakes and calligraphy artwork, and the exhibition hall on the second hall displays his prison writings and old books.

Bada Gimbap in Dolsan is a branch run directly by the main store in Jungang-dong, Yeosu, that opened 2 years after the original store’s opening in April 2020. As its name suggests, the store is famous for its gimbap filled with unique ingredients. Bada Gimbap Dolsan Branch specializes in take-out, so there are no dine-in tables within the store. Gimbap here is prepared with good rice, Korean beef, and sesame oil, together with unique fillings like mustard leaves (a leaf with a tangy mustard flavor, grown from mustard seeds), kimchi & tuna, Chinese-style fishcakes, and dried monkfish fillet. One can enjoy these delectable gimbap with seaweed soup, made with fresh Yeosu scallops, or bean sprout soup with leaf mustard kimchi, another local specialty. Another interesting dish here is dried monkfish (a type of fish, known in Korean as “agwi” or “agu”) fillet, tossed into a salad like a softer, more luxurious dried squid strips. But Bada Gimbap’s signature menu is its Leaf Mustard Kimchi Gimbap, which proves to be popular with its use of tuna and stir-fried leaf mustard kimchi, a specialty of Yeosu.

Dolsando is the seventh largest island in Korea and is connected to the mainland via Dolsan Bridge. Ever since construction was completed on December 15, 1984, the 450 meter-long, 11.7 meter-wide bridge has become a popular tourist attraction.

There is plenty to see on Dolsando Island including numerous scenic spots and historic sites such as Dolsan Park, Musulmok Battlefield, Jeollanam-do Fisheries Exhibition Hall, Bangjukpo Beach, Hyangiram Hermitage, and Eunjeogam Hermitage. Located beneath Dolsan Bridge is a life-sized model of a Geobukseon (Turtle Ship), which played an important role in the Korean Navy’s victories during the Imjinwaeran War (1592-1598). Visitors will also find plenty of seafood restaurants lining the paved coastal road.

Museulmokhaebyeon Beach is not only a site of great victory achieved by Admiral Yi Sun-sin but also a tranquil beach with a beautiful seaside pine forest, which makes it ideal as a place to take a leisurely walk in. This pebble beach is also a part of the Namdo Seaside Trail and Yeosu Gaetga-gil Trail Course 2. When the tides recede, a white sand beach is revealed, showing a different side to this magical beach. Museulmokhaebyeon Beach is a beloved sunrise spot that draws a large crowd on the first day of the year, while photographers flock to the beach throughout the four seasons to capture the beautiful view. You can see the sculptures inspired by Yeosu seas within the pine forest, walk leisurely along the horizon, and enjoy the scenery of the wide sea dotted by islands. One can also find the Jeollanam-do Maritime & Fisheries Science Museum at the entrance to the beach, so there’s plenty of things to do in the surrounding areas as well.

Amoofu is a large café located near Hwayangdaegyo Bridge, connecting Yeosu and Goheung. It specializes in specialty coffee, allowing customers to choose their beans according to their preferences, with the flavorful longblack being a signature menu item. The first floor features a spacious outdoor terrace, the second floor offers large windows overlooking the sea, and the third floor has a rooftop where visitors can relax while enjoying the beautiful view of Namhae sea.

Sunset (Ilmol) Hanok is located in Waon Village in Suncheon, South Jeolla Province. Its proximity to Waon Beach, a famous site for sunset watching, and the unspoiled tidelands of Suncheonman Bay make the pension a great healing place. An hour-long mountain trail winds through the hills surrounding Waon Village, and a four kilometer-paved road network offers opportunities for jogging or biking.
The Sunset Hanok takes the form of a ㄷ-shaped “hanok” with a grass lawn at the center. Stepping into the courtyard brings one to a view of the expansive tideland beyond the tiled clay fence and the mountains surrounding the village. There are three Korean-style floor bedding rooms and a bedroom in the house. Nangman and Haengbok, with traditional “gudeul” floor heating, offer a great view of the scenery and the sunset from the comforts of the rooms. The Sarang and Hwamok rooms use wood-fired heating, which offers great warmth during the winter season. Hwamok, in particular, is spread out between the main building and the “anchae” (inner chamber), combining a bedroom and a wide floor-heated Korean-style room suitable for large groups.
