Jeonju Hanok stands at the end of a quiet alley off Eunhaeng-ro in the center of Jeonju Hanok Village, and so is a good base for exploring the village. The charm of Jeonju Hanok Village lies in the hanok buildings' unique roof edges, which are slightly raised to the sky. Hanok houses are generally divided into two sections, anchae and sarangchae. Sarangchae is where the men dwell. Because men and women had to remain separated, anchae is situated deep inside the house so that it is secretive and quiet.

Another trait of hanok is that all the houses are heated with ondol, a unique floor heating system. Since Koreans enjoy sitting, eating, and sleeping on the floor, it needs to remain heated in winter. To experience what hanok is like, visitors can either book a hanok accommodation or visit the Hanok Life Experience Hall.

The Hanok, located in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, is a large hanok guesthouse built of beautiful tradition materials - cypress wood, red clay, and traditional hanji paper. The largest of the 7 rooms (Gwibin - ‘Special Guest’) has a king-size bed, ondol underfloor heating, and a massage bed, making it suitable for two families. Gyodong Gaon is a two-story hanok stay on the main street of Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeollabuk-do. The yard contains a small garden, a jangdokdae (jar stand), a furnace and a mural that has become a popular place for photos. The upper floor guestroom Numaru (‘Loft’) offers a panorama of the village. The first floor Meomulda (‘Lodging’) guestroom has a door between bedroom and living room. Nanuda (‘Sharing’) on the 2nd floor is the largest room, while Damda (‘Contain’) and Ggumggu (‘Dreaming’) both have attics. Finally, Geurida (’Drawing’) is a room with a fine view. Traditional games such as Hoops and Tuho can be played without charge.

Sky is a guesthouse located in an alley next to the Jeonju Hanok Village Parking Lot. The house was built in 1930 and remodeled in 2014. It was originally a Japanese-style house, but the original building was completely demolished and a traditional Korean house was built in its place. The sheets and blankets in all the guestrooms are embroidered by the owner of the guesthouse. Her embroidery skills make some of the guests choose to stay at this guesthouse since they can learn the trade from her. She offers an embroidery class for such guests for only KRW 4,000 per person, and only 5 people are allowed in the class. If you want, you can also play the traditional Korean game called "yutnori" for free.
