Samseonsan Arboretum is a nature experience learning center and home to over 1,160 different species of plants. Hanil Sikdang has served someori gukbap (beef head meat and rice soup) in front of Sapgyo Station for nearly 70 years. Someori gukbap (beef head meat and rice soup) is a soup boiled with beef head meat, beef offal, radish, and dried radish leaves, using a broth simmered with beef head and bones. The soup is kept boiling in a massive cast iron pot all day long. When a bowl is ordered, the soup is ladled into a hot pot and garnished with meat and green onions. The someori gukbap (beef head meat and rice soup) here is slightly spicy.

Hapdeokje Reservoir (합덕제)

Hapdeokje is a reservoir located in Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do. Designated as a Chungcheongnam-do Monument in 1989, it is known to have been built in the late Unified Silla period for the irrigation of Yedang Plain (Sodeulgangmun Gate). It attracts many tourists in spring with cherry blossoms and canola flower blossoms and in summer with lotus flowers in full bloom. The Hapdeokje Ecotourism Experience Center (opened in 2021) and Hapdeok Folk Irrigation Museum are located nearby, so you can stop by when traveling in the area.

The church started out as Yangchon Catholic Church in Sanggung-ri, but was moved to the current location by the priest, and renamed Hamdeok Catholic Church.
