In Mokpo, as part of a traditional market environment improvement project, a new arcade and parking lot were installed in order to revitalize the commercial district and the original downtown by modernizing the facilities of the old Dongmyeong-dong Fish Market. Mokpo Fishery Market has 125 stores selling a variety of seafood, including fresh fish, skate, salted seafood, and dried seafood caught in the clean Southwest Sea.It also has a public parking lot for visitors' convenience.

Catholic Mokpo Shrine is not only the starting point of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Gwangju, a central hub of Catholicism in Korea, but also the place where the first Legion of Mary (Lay Faith Community) headquarters in Korea was established. At the heart of the shrine stands the Sanjeong-dong Memorial Church, designated as a minor basilica in 2020, along with the Martyrs' Memorial Tower. It is a significant site where visitors can experience the history and culture of Korean Catholicism, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the blue sea and mountains.

Mokpo Marine Cable Car departs from the North Port Terminal, ascends to the summit of Yudalsan Mountain where it rotates 90 degrees, then traverses over Mokpo and the Dadohae Sea to reach Gohado Island. Covering a distance of 3.23 kilometers, the round trip takes approximately 40 minutes. At the North Port, Yudalsan Mountain, and Gohado Island terminals, there are cafés, restaurants, and rooftop gardens available for visitors to enjoy.

Samhakdo Cruise offers sightseeing cruises around the major attractions of Mokpo on the sea. During the day, they operate the Seascape City Tour, and in the evening, they offer Sunset and Fireworks Tours. Departing from the old coastal pier of Samhakdo Island, the cruise passes by Mokpo Maritime Cable Car Tower, Mokpodaegyo Bridge, and the Dancing Ocean Fountain before returning to the departure point. The Mokpo Port Festival recreates the traditional Pasi Market culture of Mokpo Port, offering a variety of food, entertainment, and experiences. Visitors can participate in live auctions at a ship for fresh seafood and enjoy the ocean view while grilling their purchases at the cooking station. In addition, the festival features a variety of maritime parades, navy band performances, and shows by art troupes from Mokpo’s overseas sister cities, all reflecting Mokpo’s identity as a port city.

Thanks to its fame, the restaurant has two buildings: the main building and the annex. It is located in Dongbu Market, Mokpo. Monkfish is a type of fish known for its tender and chewy texture and in Korea it is often cooked by braising. Monkfish, bean sprouts, and other vegetables are stir-fried with red chili paste-based sauce, creating a dish that brings alive the tender texture of the monkfish and the crunchiness of the vegetables. What elevates this restaurant above the others is their sauce. Dip the fish into a sauce made with chili pepper powder and it will open doors to a new world of flavor and taste.

Gohado Island Observatory (고하도 전망대)
