Padori Beach, located at the westernmost point of the Taeanbando Peninsula, overlooks the Yellow Sea. It features both a sandy shore and a pebble beach composed of small, rounded pebbles eroded by the sea, known as haeok. Collecting haeok for personal use is forbidden; however, they are available for purchase at the showroom. North of the beach, a wave-formed cave can be found. Sea bathing at the beach is permitted exclusively from July to August. Additionally, there is a campground nestled within the pine forest.

Unyeo Beach, located on Anmyeondo Island and facing the Yellow Sea, is characterized by its coastal dune and doksal, walls constructed for trapping fish at low tide, creating picturesque scenery. The beach welcomes swimmers during the summer season.

Simhangsan Mountain, located adjacent to Chungjuho Lake, is affectionately known as Jongdaengi Mountain due to the presence of a shrine. The construction of Chungju Dam in 1985 led to the formation of Chungjuho Lake and the subsequent disappearance of a village. The Jongdaengi Trail, a scenic walking path along Simhangsan Mountain, offers breathtaking views of Chungjuho Lake. Along the trail, visitors can discover an ecological pond and a suspension bridge, enhancing the overall experience.

Gangdanggolgyegok Valley is located at the northern foot of Gwangdeoksan Mountain at the boundary between Asan and Cheonan, through which the Oeamcheon Stream flows. The valley has clear water and a lush forest, making it a great place for forest bathing and summertime swimming. Gwangdeoksan Mountain also has excellent hiking trails. The village has campgrounds and pensions for accommodations, along with several restaurants.

Asanman Embankment was created by blocking the stream that flows into the Asanman Bay in the West Sea. Although it was originally created to expand the farmlands of the region, Asanman Embankment became a tourist site over time thanks to its beautiful scenery. The area has the Yellow Sea to the west and Asanho Lake to the east. The western side of the embankment has a wide tidal flat. Fishing and drives can be enjoyed in the area. Don’t miss the view of the sunset toward the sea. In addition, there is a park, observatory, and exhibition hall in the area.

Baekhwasan Mountain, standing at 258 meters tall and located north of Taean, is relatively small, allowing for an easy climb. Its name, Baekhwa, is derived from the appearance of the snow-capped mountain, which resembles a white cloth draped over its peak. The mountain is rich in pine trees and rocks and is home to historical sites such as the Rock-carved Standing Buddha Triad in Dongmun-ri, and the Baekhwasanseong Fortress. A suspension bridge spans a cliff on the mountain, and the summit offers a spectacular view of the sunset.

Inspired by the blue crab, the Kkotgedari Ocean Bridge links Taean's Deureuni Port with Anmyeondo Island's Baeksajang Port. The bridge is decorated with sculptures of blue crab and shrimp,highlighting the region's most significant seafood. It provides spectacular views of the Yellow Sea and sunsets. At night, the bridge is lit up with stunning lights. Nearby, a market offers the opportunity to browse, buy, and taste seafood freshly caught from the Yellow Sea.

Ageobong Peak is situated within Woraksan National Park near Chungjuho Lake. It is so named because the mountain's foothills, as seen from the summit overlooking Chungjuho Lake, resemble a group of crocodiles entering the water—'ageo' translates to 'crocodile' in Korean. In 2023, a trail was opened for tourists, offering them the chance to enjoy the breathtaking landscape from an observatory at the peak.

Asan Mediterranean Village, also called Blue Crystal Village, is made up of buildings reminiscent of those found in a Mediterranean village. It is particularly interesting because it is housed in the heart of a modern city. The village is divided into two sections, one taking after the Provence in southern France and the other resembling Santorini in Greece. Famous sights include the photo areas of angel’s wings and a lighthouse-shaped red postbox, along with cafés and stores.
