The Daegu Chimac Festival celebrates the beloved Korean combination of chicken and beer, a pairing appreciated worldwide thanks to K-dramas. While this combo is enjoyable year-round, it‘s especially delightful on hot summer nights. Known for its scorching summer heat, Daegu, nicknamed “Daefrica” due to its high temperatures, hosts the Chimac Festival every summer. After 78 years of operating, Ayang Railroad Bridge was discontinued and turned into a cultural space with a name Ayang Gichatgil. This attraction is 277 meters in length, 14.2 meters in x_height and total area of 427.75㎡. Visitors can enjoy the observatory, exhibitions, cafe and other facilities. The attraction was award Red Dot Design Award for restoring a discontinued railraod bridge using public design. Jageumseong is in a building designed like an ancient Chinese palace, serving rare Chinese dishes in a great atmosphere. The authentic dishes are made of carefully selected ingredients and served by friendly staff. The unique recipes from different regions of China are combined with those of Korea. The restaurant won the Presidential Award in October 2007 on Tourism Day. It also obtained the ISO certification. The restaurant only uses olive and canola oil to make healthy dishes.

Anjirang Market, located halfway between Anjirang Five-way Intersection and Anjiranggol-ro Street, is now more widely known for the alley filled with restaurants serving marinated gopchang (intestines). The area started with Chungbuk Restaurant opening in 1979 and expanded until the end of the IMF crisis in 1998. Locals enjoy coming to the area because of the affordable prices. Recently, the area is also trying to draw in a younger demographic by targeting the younger population. In 2012, Anjirang Gopchang Alley was selected as one of the top five food themed streets in the nation by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
