Youngwol Y Park is a complex art space that recreated the Sulsaem Museum, which opened in 2014, into a regeneration space that combines contemporary works of art, museums, and workshops. This newly created contemporary art space was planned by sculptor Choi Ok-yeung. Located in Jucheon-myeon’s untouched beautiful nature, the space is composed of Red Bamboo, Red Pavilion, and Jupiter, which are works using the signature red color of Choi Ok-yeung. The artist designed the space according to various themes, such as life, space, and regeneration, intending to evoking various feelings within visitors through viewing and experience. It is a huge art museum and land art space divided into 11 landscapes, and it's worth taking the time to look around slowly.

In fact, the name Eoreumgol Valley references how the lush forests and the area’s geographical features have made the summer here so cool that the ice (eoreum) is said to have been left frozen even in the x_height of summer. Neunggang Sotdae Art Museum in Jecheon is a museum of sotdae, ancient prayer poles with a duck or bird-shaped figurine on top that were usually placed at the village entrance. Many of these artifacts can be found inside and outside of the museum, which is located near the vast Chungjuho Lake. Other nearby tourist attractions include Neunggang Valley, situated at the foot of Geumsusan Mountain and surrounded by lush pine forests, rocky cliffs, streams and waterfalls. There is also Jeongbangsa Temple, which is said to have been built by the renowned Buddhist Monk Uisang, during the Silla era.

Geumsusan Mountain, originally called Baegamsan Mountain, was renamed by noted Joseon-period scholar Yi Hwang (pen name Toegye) when he was the chief governor of Danyang County, saying its graceful features matched the fineness of silk embroidery. The mountain is beautiful throughout the year with bright foliage in fall and an ice cave that stays frozen until early April. The view from the summit of the mountain resembles a pregnant woman lying on her side, and there is a legend that women who pray for a son here will have their wish come true.

Wonseong Seongnam-ri Tutelary Forest (원성 성남리 성황림)

The Tutelary Forest in Sillim-myeon, Wonju is a temperate hardwood forest designated as a Natural Monument in 1962, and offers eco-exploration of the tutelary forest as well as forest commentary, meditation and experience programs. More than 90 different species of tree plants grow over an area spanning some 312,993 m2. The people of Seongnam-ri have treated Seonghwangsin of Chiaksan Mountain as the patron saint of the village since the ancient times. It is said that, at midnight of April 8 and September 9 every year on the Lunar calendar, people held rituals in front of the huge fir tree (29 meters tall, 1.3 meters in diameter, 300 years old) standing in front of Seonghwangdang Shrine to which Seonghwangsin descends.

The Tutelary Forest is divided into two sections, each with different species of trees, by a brook in the middle. The area located to the left of the brook grows a variety of acervate deciduous broad-leaved trees, many of which are maple trees that paint the season of fall with gorgeous colors.

Yoseonjeong Pavilion & Yoseonam Rock (요선정·요선암)

Yoseonjeong Pavilion is located in a valley with a clear stream water flowing below. Next to the pavilion is a large rock with the word Yoseonnam inscribed on it. During the Unified Silla period, there was a small hermitage where Yoseongjeong Pavilion stands today. The hermitage was frequented by monks Doyun and Jinghyo, who had founded Heungnyeongseonwon Temple on a foothill of Sajasan Mountain to teach the values and principles of Buddhism. Today, next to the pavilion is a small stone pagoda and a statue of seated Buddha.
