Eulji Observatory, located near the Military Demarcation Line along the ridge of Gachilbong Peak, is now one of the most informative sites dating back to the Korean War. From Eulji Observatory, visitors can see North Korean land from afar as well as Birobong Peak of Geumgangsan Mountain. Youth Yanggu Gomchwi Green Festa takes place in May and celebrates gomchwi, an edible wild green that grows in abundance in Yanggu. The green grows high in the mountains and is said to be favored by bears, giving it it's name ("gom" means "bear" in Korean). Gomchwi is highly sought out for its various medicial benefits.

Park Soo Keun (1914-1965) was an artist who devoted his life to drawing the lives of ordinary people with a warm gaze. The Park Soo Keum Museum, which has a floor space of 700 square meters, is built upon the artist’s birthplace in his hometown in Yanggu-gun, Gangwon-do. The museum was founded with the intent to develop into a major cultural space for the region and to honor Park Soo Keun’s life and art. The collection of Park Soo Keun’s artworks shown at the museum include his oil paintings, a number of prints such as "The Tree and Two Ladies" and "Tapdori," watercolor painting "Watercolors," and dozens of other drawings.

Daecheongbong Peak in Seoraksan Mountain, at an altitude of 1,708 meters, is the highest peak among the Taebaek Mountain Range, providing amazing view all year round. With various flowers in spring, clear and fresh stream water in summer, fall foliage in fall, and snow covered mountain in winter, Seoraksan Mountain is the most beautiful mountain in Korea.
The inner section ("Naeseorak") of the mountain stretches from the borderline of Hangyeryeong Pass and Misiryeong Pass to Inje-gun in the west. There are various valleys and waterfalls not to be missed as well as several hiking courses that represent the mountain.

The Center of Korea Observatory in Yanggu-gun is named for its location at the center of the Korean Peninsula. It is equipped with an 80-centimeter reflecting telescope. There is also an exhibition hall providing the most recent astronomy news, a planetarium showing the night sky, and a range of hands-on programs.

The 4th Tunnel was discovered on March 3, 1990. It is located 1,200 meters from the Military Demarcation Line in the demilitarized zone of South Korea. This is the only tunnel to be discovered that provides full access to tour groups. Educational instruction is given in the square outside the tunnel.

Shot from the bottom, slingshots can fly one and half times as high as the x_height of the jumping facility. Flying over 45 meters in a matter of seconds, slingshots offer extreme thrills for friends, couples, or family visitors.

Soyangho Lake is a man-made lake that was created when Soyang Dam, the biggest rock-filled dam in Asia, was built in 1973. The lake is a hotspot for aquatic tourism and the lakeside road is an important route that connects Chuncheon and Yanggu. It is also a popular fishing spot as over 50 types of fishes can be found.
