Songcheon Garden is famous for its stunning eco-friendly harmony of the resturant building and the surrounding geographic features. This image is created by the fountains and waterfalls made using the water flowing down from a valley of Bakdalsan Mountain. The wooden house build with Japanese cedar offers a pleasant atmosphere. Also, a fishery in the restaurant using a mix of clean underground water and natural streams gives a fresh taste to the freshwater fish.

Freshwater hoe (sliced raw fish) and maeuntang (spicy fish stew) are the main menus. The maeuntang features a savory taste with green onion, garlic, and vegetables along with soybean paste and gochujang (Korean chili paste).

To commemorate the soul and spirit of Nangye Park Yeon, one of the three legendary gugak (traditional Korean music) musicians with Wang Sanak and Ureuk in Korea's ancient kingdoms, Yeongdong-gun, the hometown of Nangye, has organized regular performances of Nangye Gugak Troupe sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Nangye Gukak Troupe, the first county-level public gugak performance team, was established in 1991 to inherit the spirit of Nangye. The troupe started its performance with the opening show of the National Gugak Orchestral Music Festival in 1994 and has met audiences about 100 times every year. Meanwhile, the Nangye Traditional Music Museum and the Nangye Traditional Music Instrument Experience Center were opened in 2000 and 2006 respectively, helping Yeongdong-gun be titled the Mecca of Traditional Korean Music. The regular performances given every Saturday in Yeongdong Gugak Village enhances the status of traditional Korean music and reminds us of its value and importance.

The primary source of the Geumgang River is a spring located on Ddeunbong Peak in Subun-ri, Jangsu-gun, Jeollabuk-do, which flows to the north. At Changnam, it changes direction and enters Bangu-ri, Buri-myeon, Geumsan-gun. From here, the river flows through steep mountains. At Sutong-ri, the precipitous cliffs of a mountain named Jeokbyeok tower proudly above, and where the river runs under these steep cliffs it is called the Jeokbyeokgang River.

Jeokbyeok literally means "red walls" in Korean. The Geumgang River under Jeokbyeok is as calm as a peaceful lake with long sandy shores. This riverbank is alive with beautiful flowers in spring, green pine trees in summer, and in fall, the green gives way to an autumnal tint, until lovely snowscapes blanket the area in winter.
