Naejangsan Mountain is a famous mountain in Jeonbuk-do, and the best mountain in Korea to view the fall foliage. Because of the bright autumn leaves that blanket Naejangsan Mountain in fall, the mountain is also referred to as Geumgang of Honam, referencing the beautiful Geumgangsan Mountain.
Inside the park, there are famous waterfalls, such as Dodeokpokpo Falls and Geumseonpokpo Falls, and temples such as Baegyangsa Temple and Naejangsa Temple. In addition, there are about 760 kinds of local plants, including those designated as Natural Monuments, and various wild animals living inside the park.
Naejangsan National Park is beautiful not only in fall, but also in spring when the azaleas and cherry blossoms bloom, in summer when the mountain turns green, and winter when the rock cliffs are covered with snow.

Yonggwolsan Sky Walk is a wooden trail built high up on the mountainside. Opened in 2023, the 1,096-meter-long trekking course offers thrilling views of the mountain's unique rock formations and an unobstructed view of the sky that is not for the faint of heart. It takes roughly 30 minutes to walk from the start of the trail to Biryongjeong Pavilion at the summit.

The May 18th National Cemetery in Gwangju is a symbol of freedom and democracy. The cemetery holds the graves of 764 victims of the May 18th Democratic Uprising in 1980, seven structures, and many monuments.

Located in the eco-village of Husan-ri, Myeongokheon Garden was the garden of Oh Hui-do (1583-1623) of the Joseon dynasty and served as a simple, countryside sanctuary where the scholar read and wrote many books. Main features of the garden are the Myeongokheon Pavilion, where the scholar held lectures, and the square-shaped pond in front of the pavilion that is surrounded with graceful flowering trees. The flowering trees around the pond include red pines and crape myrtles. On the right side of Myeongokheon Garden you’ll see a 300 year-old ginkgo tree, which is where King Injo (1623-1649) of the Joseon dynasty tied his horse when he went to visit Oh Hui-do.

Naejangsan Maple Ecology Park is created near Jaejangho Lake in Jeongeup and has diverse kinds of trees, included 11 types of indigenous maple trees. The park comprises diverse maple-themed recreational amenities such as Maple Experience Exhibition Center, various gardens, maple tunnel trails, and more. The best time to enjoy the park is in Novemeber when the fall foliage is at its peak and the park hosts a variety of events and exhibitions.

Located at the beginning of the Seomjingang River, the steep banks in Gudam Village are covered in maehwa (plum blossoms) in white and red. While strolling along the 3-kilometer-long path of the riverside that connects Gudam Village to Cheondam Village, tourists will be impressed by the beautiful scene created by the plum and cherry blossoms. The village became more and more famous thanks to its cozy ambience created by the Seomjingang River, plum blossoms and Zelkova at the mouth of the village, attracting visitors to enjoy a walking trip. The village has also served as a filming location for movies, including the film "Spring in My Hometown (1998)."

Irang Hanok Stay stands in Deokchi Village, Imsil-gun, Jeollabuk-do. The village has the Seomjin River flowing past it and mountains all round it, so this is a benign and beautiful spot. Accomodation consists of four renovated hanok, each let out as a single house. Each house has one ondol room, one bedroom, a kitchen/living room, and a bathroom. The numaru(raise floor) and toenmaru(wooden veranda) are depending on the room.
Cooking strong smelling food inside is not allowed, but there is a barbecue space in the yard. An outdoor swimming pool is open in the summer.

Naejangsan Sculpture Park is located at the foothills of Naejangsan Mountain below Seorabong peak. The park exhibits a sculpture from 16 recognized artists who were awarded from Korea's four major art exhibitions. The park is also home to endangered and rare plants, allowing visitors to enjoy art in a nature-friendly atmosphere. The Naejangsan Chrysanthemum Festival is held at this park every fall.

Situated between Damyang-gun and Gwangju Metropolitan City, Damyang Wetland is one of the best places to experience the ecology of Yeongsangang River. It is a habitat for the hawk, wildcat, Boreal digging frog (endangered species), and kestrel. It became the first river wetland to be designated as a wetland reserve in 2004.

Okjeongho Lake Gujeolcho Theme Park was officially formed in 2006 in an area that used to be called Manggyeongdae Terrace. Out of the park’s 12 hectare of land, approximately 5 hectare of land is filled with Gujeolcho (Siberian chrysanthemum) and a pine tree forest. The park also has walking paths and rest areas for visitors to enjoy.
