Gyeongju Oreung Hanok (경주오릉한옥)

Oreung Hanok in Gyeongju, is a guesthouse just across Namcheon Stream from Gyeongju’s Five Royal Tombs (‘oreung’ in Korean). The guesthouse’s location gives it a panoramic view not only of the tomb complex but over much of the 1,000 year old city of Gyeongju. The cozy rooms have double doors to block drafts and noise, and clean white bedding; while the spacious yard outside is a good spot for taking photos. The bustling Hwangnidan Street is a 15-minute walk away, while must-see sites Cheomseongdae, the Daereungwon tomb complex, Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond are 10 minutes away by car.

Kelimgung is a comfortable hanok pension near the Oreung tombs in, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do; the name derives from Gyerim, the forest birthplace of Kim Alji who helped found the ancient Silla kingdom. Wadamjung in Cheonwon Village, Gyeongju is a modern traditional Korean guesthouse built in May 2017, with both the features of a traditional Korean house and modern facilities such as air conditioner and bathroom. It has a total of nine guestrooms that can accommodate three to six people, and there is a kitchen that can be shared among the guests. A large group can book a stand-alone guestroom that can accommodate up to 12 people, inclusive of a kitchen. There are various traditional artifacts and items with which to play a traditional game in the large yard, such as Jegi (Korean shuttlecock game) and Tuho (Arrow-throwing). In addition, there are a number of tourist destinations such as Cheomseongdae in Wolseong District, with lots of historical sites in Gyeongju as well as Gyeongju National Museum.

Como tomar buenas fotos se está convirtiendo en una tendencia entre los jóvenes en Corea, los lugares que ofrecen fondos para imágenes llamativas y pintorescas están volviéndose muy populares. Uno de ellos es el Instituto de Investigación Forestal de Gyeongsangbuk-do. La zona más buscada para las fotografías dentro de este arboreto era antes el puente de troncos en el Parque Ecológico del Pantano. Sin embargo, el material de construcción del puente ha sido reemplazado recientemente por madera regular, por razones de seguridad. No se decepcione con esto, todavía se pueden tomar impresionantes fotos con el puente sobre el pantano como fondo.

Hay cuatro senderos que tienen al Parque Ecológico del Pantano como centro. Las flores y los árboles de diversas especies crean una escena diferente a lo largo de cada trayecto, ofreciendo muchas oportunidades para fotos excepcionales. Incluso un banco ordinario puede merecer algunas. Tomarse una foto sentado en el banco, con las hojas caducas cubriéndolo todo, le transmitirá un toque de color y naturaleza a la imagen capturada.

Puente Woljeonggyo (월정교)

Es un puente ubicado en el barrio de Gyo-dong, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, durante el período de Silla Unificada. Se había perdido en el período Joseon, pero fue reconstruido en abril de 2018 como el puente de madera más grande del país, pasando por una extensa investigación histórica. Según la Crónica de los Tres Reinos, fue construido durante el año 19 por el rey Gyeongdeok (año 760) del período de Silla Unificada y cumplió el papel de conectar el palacio de Wolseong y el monte Namsan de Gyeongju.

Named after Silla King Muyeol's daughter, Princess Yosuk, Yosukgung 1779 serves traditional Korean food. The resturant is run by the Choi family, who settled on the site of Princess Yosuk's house during the Joseon dynasty, and has passed on the restaurant and family recipes through 12 generations. All the foods served are made with organic ingredients, for a healthy taste that cannot be found anywhere else.
