One of the outstanding features of the Old House of Choi Pilgan in Goseong, which is currently owned by Choi Yeong-deok, is the stone wall. Listed as Gyeongsangnam-do Cultural Property No. 178, it has higher stone walls than most other traditional Korean houses once owned by a noble family in the past. The village where this house is located can be easily found, since there is a road sign at the forked road with the Old Hakdong Stone Wall on the National Road toward Impo. Visitors to this site are advised to take a leisurely walk along the ancient stone walls instead of driving around them. This head house of Jeonju Choi Clan has been passed down to the eldest son of the family for 11 generations. With an area of 6,611m², the house consists of a room next to the main gate, the main building, a detached house with a wooden porch, a master bedroom used by the head of the household, and a small warehouse. The inner gate divides the house in half, each designated for male and female members of the household as was the tradition of the noble families in the olden times.

El Parque Nacional Marítimo Hallyeo cubre las regiones de Sacheon, Geoje, Tongyeong, Hadong y Namhae, en la provincia Gyeongsangnam-do; y también la región de Yeosu en Jeollanam-do. Tiene 510.323 ㎢ de extensión y abarca islas como las del archipiélago Dadohae, Bijindo y Haegeumgang. Es un antiguo establecimiento que se utilizaba para recibir a los invitados especiales, edificado el 14 de julio de 1605, durante el reinado de Seonjo, de la dinastía Joseon. La construcción de un solo piso, tiene una dimensión de 9 paredes frontales y 5 laterales, con un impresionante estilo de techo llamado paljakjibung (deriva de la forma de la letra ocho en caracteres chinos “八”). A pesar de que presenta una superficie amplia, el interior del edificio no posee paredes ni ventanas, es decir tiene la característica de estar abierto completamente, de tal manera que es posible la comunicación libre de las personas. Lo más sorprendente y dinámico de esta edificación es que el enorme tejado, que posee un diseño y estructura elegante, es sostenido con gran cantidad de columnas de madera, alrededor y en el interior del edificio. Esta construcción tradicional es ideal para conocer y experimentar el estilo de la cultura arquitectónica de la antigüedad.
