Sungsimdang abrió sus puertas en el año 1956 como una pequeña tienda de venta de jjinppang (bollo al vapor relleno de judías rojas). Se ubicó en los alrededores de la Estación de Daejeon y hoy en día es una de las pastelerías más representativas de Corea. Guibin Dolsotbap is one of the top restaurants in Daejeon and one of the very first to offer dolsotbap (rice in sizzling stone bowl) meals.
