El bosque Bijarim es Monumento Natural, tiene una superificie total de 448.165 ㎡, y reúne a 2.800 árboles “Torreya Nucifera” de entre 500-800 años de edad. Los árboles de este bosque tienen una altura de 7-14 m, un diámetro del tronco de 50-110 cm y el diámetro de la copa de 10-15 m, de media general; este tipo de bosque de árboles Torreya Nucifera, es difícil de ver en otros países.  Desde la antigüedad, los frutos de estos árboles fueron utilizados como remedio contra los insectos, y la madera, por su buena calidad, fue utilizada para fabricar muebles de lujo y tablas de "baduk" (juego de mesa coreano). En este bosque también viven otras especies de plantas raras, como la Aerides japonicum, la Bulbophyllum, la Liparis nervosa, etc. El recorrido por este bosque verde, lleno de árboles y plantas, ayudará a flexibilizar las arterias, recuperar la salud mental y física, y obtener así el equilibrio corporal. En sus cercanías también están ubicados volcanes pequeños, como el Wollangbong, el Abuoreum, el Yongnunioreum, etc., formando un paisaje natural hermoso, ideal para la caminata y un montañismo liviano. En especial, está siendo muy reputado como lugar de rodaje de películas.
