Anteriormente, este lago era un estanque para fines agrícolas, pero por su hermoso paisaje creado junto con los pequeños montes de su alrededor, fue declarado como zona turística en 1985.

Eunpa significa “olas de color plata”, y esto se debe a la luz del atardecer que se refleja en las aguas del lago. Este lugar tiene una historia muy larga y se cree que fue construido en la dinastía Joseon por su aparición en el mapa “Daedongyeojido” del geógrafo Kim Jeong-ho. Las exhuberantes flores de cerezo hacen del parque un sitio perfecto para dar un paseo en familia o pareja, y el puente Mulbitdari, que luce fantástico con sus espectáculos musicales con agua, es el favorito de muhos visitantes. La isla Sinsido, situada a 50 km de la ciudad de Gunsan, es la más grande del archipiélago Gogunsan. Esta isla es conocida como “Estrella sobre el Lago” por su hermoso paisaje. Parque Wolmyeong (월명공원)

El Parque Wolmyeong es un destino turístico popular en la ciudad de Gunsan y conecta cinco montañas en sus alrededores. La superficie total del parque es de 2,6 km² y hay un sendero de caminata de 12 km de longitud en el parque.

Desde la Torre Susi, parecida a una antorcha o una vela transportada por el viento, la gente puede ver la vista completa de la ciudad, el mar de Gunsan, la desembocadura del río Geumgang y la fábrica de fundición de Janghang.

Al borde del monte Seollimsan, está un antiguo templo, llamado Eunjeoksa, y el embalse Jeil está situado entre el monte Jeombangsan y el monte Seollimsan. El parque también contiene un observatorio, un parque es esculturas y otros monumentos.

Templo Dongguksa en Gunsan (동국사(군산))

El templo Dongguksa templo fue construido por el monje japonés Seoneungbulgwan en 1909. Desde su construcción, el templo fue dirigido por monjes japoneses durante 36 años, y luego volvió a ser propiedad del Gobierno de Corea tras la liberación del 15 de agosto de 1945. Este es el único templo de estilo japonés existente en Corea. Hinokijam II is a guesthouse located near Wolmyeong-dong Community Service Center, Gunsan. Hinokijam I right across from Wolmyeong-dong Community Service Center has been in business since 2014, whereas Hinokijam II opened in 2015. It's a Japanese-style house regarded as a modern cultural heritage.
