Centro Cultural Sejong (세종문화회관)

El Centro Cultural Sejong fue construido en 1978 en Gwanghwamun. Tiene un teatro grande, un teatro pequeño, una galería de arte y otros lugares para albergar varias clases de actuaciones y exhibiciones. El teatro grande del Centro Sejong, su escaparate principal, tiene el mayor órgano de tubos de Asia, y un escenario majestuoso. Puede alojar a 3.822 personas, y su escenario puede transformarse para ajustarse a muchas clases de actuaciones diferentes, como conciertos, obras, ballets y películas, para acentuar sus mejores cualidades. El sistema de iluminación y sonido del escenario, digno de los teatros más grandes, están controlados por ordenador para un control de precisión. El teatro pequeño puede alojar a 442 personas en sus dos pisos, y el escenario es muy grande, considerando el tamaño del teatro pequeño –unas 100 personas pueden estar en el escenario al mismo tiempo-. La galería de arte del Centro Sejong está compuesta en realidad por tres galerías, una en el edificio principal, otra en el edificio anexo y otra más en la sección del Centro añadida recientemente. Las tres son lugares de exhibición vanguardistas. También hay una tienda de arte, salas de conferencias para artistas y muchas salas espaciosas en donde puede relajarse. Incluso si no está aquí para ver ninguna exposición, es un lugar que vale la pena recorrer.

Yeonwoohouse [Korea Quality] / 연우하우스 [한국관광 품질인증]

Yeonwoo Guesthouse is a quiet and cozy traditional Korean guest house (hanok) located in Gahoe-dong, Jongnogu in Bukchon Hanok Village, a charming area crisscrossed with a labyrinth of old alleyways. As it is close to some of Seoul’s most famous tourist attractions, including Changgyeonggung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Gyeongbokgung Palace, many tourists from Southeast Asia and Europe book a stay here. It consists of two cozy guestrooms, each equipped with a bathroom. Among the guest house’s many charms is the panoramic view of Bukchon Hanok Village from its rooftop, which can be reached by a ladder. Dahmsojung, meaning ‘a house full of laughs’, is a hanok guesthouse that provides sincere services and comfortable relaxation. Located in the middle of Seoul’s city center, this hanok hotel-class guesthouse was built using traditional hanok construction materials including the 200-years-old Korean land pine from Gyeongju, and clay for rooms. The owner originally bought the land to build the residential area for the family, but wishing to promote the charms of the hanok building to foreigners, it was opened as a guesthouse in October 2012. This hanok guesthouse with modern elements is decorated with refined interior items. It provides a special breakfast that consists of steamed rice wrapped in a lotus leaf and tasty side dishes without any artificial seasonings. All the vegetables used for the meals are organic and cultivated by the owner. It also uses refined objects including high quality tableware, bedding (cotton bedclothes with colored stripes), authentic ceramics, lacquered painting by an artisan, and artistic living items. It carries out a cleaning and disinfection process every day as well. In particular, Hinoki cypress with a subtle scent was used for the bathroom. The home bar was installed especially for foreign guests who find it difficult to sit on the floor in the kitchen. These detailed consideration and decorations have attracted many guests including foreign diplomats, VIPs, and so on. It also operates a hands-on programs including ‘calligraphy’ and ‘making a fan’ that are held on the main floored room and are popular among foreign guests. Dahmsojung offers guests sophisticated services and comfortable facilities with a clean and traditional atmosphere that attracts many domestic and foreign guests.

Fue inaugurada en abril de 1970, con el nombre “Hyundai Hwarang” en Insa-dong, distrito de Jongno-gu, Seúl. Durante más de 40 años ha presentado exposiciones de los artistas más célebres en la historia de Corea: Park Su-geun, Lee Jung-seob, Kim Hwan-gi, Chang Ucchin, Chun Kyung-ja, Lee Dae-won, Yu Yeong-guk, Lee U-fan, Paik Nam-june, Shim Moon-seup, etc.

Consta de dos edificios, el principal y otro anexo, y también dispone de una sede en Gangnam. La galería de Gangnam abarca una dimensión más amplia de artistas sin restricción de género ni estilo, de tal manera que presenta exposiciones de alta calidad, posibilitando el conocimiento del mercado artístico tanto nacional como extranjero. Museo de Arte Kumho (금호미술관)

Museo del Hanbok de Lee Rhee-za (이리자 한복전시관)

Este museo, en lugar de representar simplemente los hanbok (trajes tradicionales), demuestra de manera simple los ritos de paso que debe atravesar una persona, desde su nacimiento hasta la muerte, y, en su conjunto, presenta la vestimenta y sus accesorios correspondientes. Los trajes tradicionales son obra de la famosa diseñadora de hanbok Lee Rhee-za, los cuales también se pueden utilizar en la actualidad. Además de los trajes, también podrá conocer la gran variedad de accesorios y adornos tradicionales.

Kumho Art Hall (금호아트홀)

Kumho Art Hall fue fundado exclusivamente para conciertos de música clásica. Se ubica cerca de Gwanghwamun. Con una capacidad para 390 personas, cuenta con una estructura perfecta para conciertos. Todos los asientos son cómodos y el amplio espacio entre las filas de los asientos permite que los espectadores disfruten del espectáculo. También hay asientos portables para discapacitados. El interior del teatro es cómodo y elegante, el escenario está hecho de madera de arce.
