The Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) is a space for all to meet and experience the joy of art. Since its opening in 2005, the gallery has made a significant impact on the Korean photography scene by introducing world-class photographers to Korea. It relocated to its present site next to the Cheongwadae, Samcheong-dong, in 2010, adding spaces for painting, sculpture, video, installation, and other forms of contemporary art. The gallery focuses on artists based in Paris, London, and New York, presenting works that represent the current state of contemporary art in the 21st century. Tosokchon Samgyetang is a restaurant specializing in samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) near Gyeongbokgung Palace. It is housed in several renovated traditional hanok buildings, exuding a nostalgic atmosphere. Samgyetang is a traditional Korean nutritious food made by simmering cleaned young chicken with ginseng, jujube, sweet rice batter, and various nuts. The thick broth of samgyetang, served alongside ginseng liquor, stimulates the appetite. Diced radish kimchi and cabbage kimchi are served as basic side dishes.

Chebudong Janchijip Dwaejigalbi is a restaurant where marinated pork galbi are grilled over charcoal fire. It offers various side dishes along with rich soybean paste jjigae. Enjoying cold buckwheat noodles with the tender marinated pork galbi, which are well-aged, is also recommended. Additionally, there are individual menu items such as dubu jeongol (bean curd hot pot), hoe naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles with raw fish), bibimbap, and gamjajeon (potato pancake).

MESA's name originates from the Spanish word meaning a flat plateau-like mountain summit at the end of a gentle slope. It was named so as a vision for this family-friendly mall to succeed with no obstacle on its way. MESA is a full-line store situated between Myeong-dong's department store zone and Namdaemun Market. The store opened with the concept of a "global family shopping mall," selling diverse items that suit family households.

Chungdong First Methodist Church (서울 정동교회)

Chungdong Church, having being completed in 1897, was the first Christian church that was built after the spread of Protestantism in Korea. The church was founded in 1887 as a small worship house under the name Bethel by Henry Gerhard Appenzeller, an American missionary. As the number of followers increased, the building underwent construction and officially became a church in 1895. Chungdong Church is the only remaining church building from the 19th century. The church was expanded once more in 1926, changing its from a cross-shaped building to a square one. The expansion was made by adding walls using bricks as not to damage the original building structure. The architecture was built in a simplified version of an American gothic house with arched window frames.
