Hyundai Kalguksu is a kalguksu (handmade knife-cut noodles) restaurant that has been in the family for two generations (1982). The restaurant is extremely popular among people working at nearby businesses, thanks to the rich flavor of the broth. Anchovies, dried pollack heads, and kelp are simmered for many hours, and then, other ingredients are added: soft noodles and various vegetables including pumpkin, onion, and green onions. Introduction :
L’église de Chungdong, dont la construction fut achevée en 1989, est la première église protestante de Corée. A sa construction, sa surface était de 380 m², mais d’autres bâtiments ont été rajoutés à chaque aile en 1926, et elle mesure à présent environ 580 m².

L’église de Chungdong a été déclarée 256ème plus grand accomplissement, et possède une architecture de style gothique nord-américain. A l’intérieur se trouve un buste de son fondateur, le pasteur Appenzeller, et un monument commémoratif pour son 50ème anniversaire. En 1889, l’église a été mentionnée dans le mensuel « Church » comme étant la première église de Corée à proposer des cours d’étude de la Bible en été, et pour le travail de ses missionnaires. L’église de Chungdong se trouve au coeur de la charmante rue de Chungdong, particulièrement belle en automne, lorsque les pavés sont tapissés de feuilles mortes. Le quartier entier représente une intéressante destination touristique, car on y trouve également le théâtre Chungdong, le palais de Deoksugung et le musée d’art de Séoul.

Myeongdong Yeongyang Center is a 52 year-old specialty restaurant in Myeongdong. It specializes in samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and tongdak (roasted chicken). In 1960, Yeongyang Center has started to sell tongdak roasted on an electric rotisserie. Since then, the crisp and not-at-all greasy taste has attracted popularity among local Koreans and it has become a must-visit restaurant among foreign tourists. They use chickens provided by directly owned chicken farm and the owner of the restaurant thoroughly manages all the process of cooking even from the ingredients preparation level.
Their main menus are samgyetang and tongdak. The Samgyetang features its tender meat and thick broth after boiling for 2 hours and the tongdak features crispy and not-fatty taste of the well-drained chicken. Among the menus, sansam Samgyetang stuffed with wild ginseng powder is the most be-loved menu.

La place Cheonggye est située à Sejong-ro au départ de la rivière Cheonggyecheon (batiment Dong-A Ilbo) jusqu'au pont Sindapcheolgyo. Elle mesure à peu près 160 m de long sur 50m de large avec une belle fontaine, une cascade artificielle et une réplique miniature de la rivière Cheonggyecheon sur le sol. On trouve aussi des affiches et des commentaires détaillés sur les 22 ponts qui enjambent la rivière ainsi qu'un certain nombre de fontaines qui décorent le site.Toute cette zone commémore le projet de restauration de la rivière et symbolise l'harmonie, la paix et l'unité.
Suite à la validation du projet de restauration de la place Cheonggye, le gouvernement métropolitain de Séoul a réduit considérablement le traffic routier dans cette zone, offrant ainsi plus d'espaces de loisirs pour les piétons. Depuis lors, les zones riveraines de Cheonggyecheon et des rues environnantes sont devenues des lieux populaires pour se rafraîchir et rechercher la tranquilité. La fontaine “bougie” est l'installation vedette de ce site. Elle est composée de trois appareils d'éclairages différents et s’élève à 4 mètres de haut. L'installation est notamment composée de 8 rochers en provenance des 8 provinces du pays.
La place Cheonggye est particulièrement belle la nuit. En effet, les visiteurs peuvent admirer le spectacle fantastique de la lumière et l'eau même la nuit.
