With a proud 20-year history, Arirang House is famous for its kimchi, which won a prize at the first Kimchi Festival. In 2003, the restaurant collaborated with Shilla Hotel and Paradise Hotel and successfully hosted a royal cuisine demonstration event, contributing to the promotion of Korean cuisine.

Arirang House serves delicious Korean cuisine in an elegant style. The food is carefully prepared by 11 chefs, including the chef who has thirty years of experience. The kitchen is divided into the side dish team, the special dish team, and the main course team to prepare a total of thirty or so specialized dishes. The flavors are enhanced by using only the freshest natural ingredients and not using any artificial seasonings. Prices vary by course, and each course comes with raw beef, samhap (a combination of three special foods), assorted raw fish, and steamed short ribs. The bossam kimchi (kimchi with slices of steamed pork) is also one of their specialties.

Yeongmi Oritang has been serving up duck stew (oritang) to the community for over 80 years. Made with ground perilla seeds, soybean paste, chili powder, garlic, and other carefully selected ingredients, the duck is boiled in an earthen pot and seasoned with ginseng, jujube, and water parsley to suit each customer's individual tastes. The dish is served with kimchi side dishes, which are said to enhance the flavor of the duck meat. Since duck is known to be effective in treating liver and geriatric diseases, the restaurant is popular not only for its delicious flavors, but also for the health benefits of its food.

Vous pouvez vous procurer une entrée au niveau du convenience store au 1er étage. Il faut compter 20 minutes pour atteindre la station Bitgoeul qui offre de belles vues sur le mont Mudeungsan. Le site est réputé pour ses belles vues sur la ville de Gwangju.

Parc national du Mt. Mudeungsan (무등산국립공원)

Le parc régional du Mt. Mudeungsan se situe à la frontière de Gwangju entre Damyanggun et Hwaseonggun et il a été classé parc national en 1972. Le mont Mudeungsan mesure 1186 mètres d’altitude. Le sommet du mont Mudeungsan consiste en 3 pics : Cheonwangbong, Jiwangbong et Inwangbong.

Le mont est célèbre pour ces roches aux formes diverses, étendues en particulier autour du sommet Cheonwangbong. Mudeungsan est également connu pour ses beaux paysages changeants en fonction des 4 saisons. Durant l'automne le paysage des feuilles d’érables de Gyubongam et les herbes de Baekma sont très appréciés. En hiver le paysage enneigé est aussi prisé des randonneurs.

Gare de Gwangju (광주역)

Située dans le centre de Gwangju, ville industrielle et culturelle, la Gare de Gwangju est une gare représentative dans la province sud-ouest de la péninsule coréenne. Elle fut ouverte en 1922 et fut déplacée à son endroit actuel en juillet 1969. En 2004, elle lança le KTX (le TGV coréen). De là, les trains partent en direction des gares de Yongsan (Séoul), Mokpo, Daejeon, et Suncheon.

Gwangju est la seule métropole et le seul centre de réseaux de transports dans le sud-ouest de la Corée. Elle accueille une variété de festivals et évènements internationaux tels que la Biennale de Gwangju (exposition d’art internationale) et le Festival Mondial de la Culture du Kimchi. La Gare de Gwangju est donc bondée de touristes toute l’année. Les attractions touristiques situées à proximité sont le Mont Mudeungsan et les Temples Jeungsimsa et Wonhyosa.
