Euneungjeongi Culture Street is a street located in Daejeon's original city center, resembling Seoul's Myeongdong area. It features clothing stores, restaurants, cafés, and even the flagship store of Daejeon's iconic bakery, "Sung Sim Dang." Close to Daejeon Station, it hosts the annual "Zero 0' Clock Festival," inspired by the tradition of trains departing from Daejeon Station at midnight in the past.

The signature dish here is ojingeo jjigae (squid stew) made by adding whole radish and water to spicy stir-fried squid and simmering it into a hearty stew. However, most visitors who visit Sonamujip add noodles to their ojingeo jjigae, turning it into what’s known as ojingeo kalguksu (noodle soup with squid). Ojingeo jjigae is a great example of how people in Daejeon enjoy adding their own twist on kalguksu.

Daejeon galbijip is renowned for its pork galbi, with their standout dish being dwaeji galbi (grilled pork galbi). This high-quality, thick-cut meat is known for its delicate and subtle flavor. The pork ribs, cooked over charcoal, are particularly enjoyable when paired with green onion threads or the restaurant's special sauce. Standard accompaniments include yeolmu kimchi (young summer radish kimchi), a salad, and vegetables for wraps, all of which are available for refills. Pairing the tender pork with naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) is recommended, as it adds a richer dimension to the flavor profile.
