Uidonggyegok Valley is located between Bukhansan Mountain and Dobongsan Mountain, and is a popular retreat for locals. Near the entrance to the valley are accommodations, a playground, wedding hall, and other amenities. Clean water runs through the valley, and is lined with restaurants. The hiking path starting to the left of the valley entrance passes Doseonsa Temple on the way to Insubong Peak. The hiking path through the valley is quite difficult, but leads to Uiam Hermitage, and further to Dobongsan Mountain along the ridge. Additional temples in the area include Seongbulsa, Yongdeoksa, Seonunsa, and Gwangmyeongsa Temples.

The Uijeongbu Arts Center is a multipurpose cultural space that maintains a large theater, a small theater, an international conference hall, and an exhibition hall. The large theater is a spacious performance hall that can support 300 on-stage performers and accommodate an audience of 1,057 persons. The theater has a multifunctional, three-dimensional, moving stage and state-of-the-art stage-lighting and sound facilities, making it a suitable venue for all genres, including orchestras, plays, dance performances, operas, and musicals. Meal° (Seongsu) is a bakery located in front of Seongdong-gu Citizens' Sports Center, near Exit 1 of Seoul-forest Station (Suin–Bundang Line). Because the shop has no parking lot, visitors are advised to utilize buses, subways, and other public transportation when visiting. The shop itself is rather small, so it operates on a take-out-only basis. One can, however, opt to have the bread delivered. Signature menus include plain and rich bread, honey rusk, chocolate and honey rusk, cube custard, and strawberry jam bread. Other menus include scones, cube bread with streusel, and sandwiches. Nearby sites include Seongsu-dong Cafe Street, Seongsu Handmade Shoes Park, Seoulsup Forest, and Ttukseom Recreation Area.
