Taejongdae, designado como Monumento de Busan junto con la isla de Oryukdo, representa a la ciudad de Busan, y es especialmente famoso por su playa rocosa. Hay bosques de pinos y otras 200 variedades de árboles y su pico más alto presenta 250 metros. Taejongdae debe su nombre al 29º rey de la dinastía Silla (57 a.C.-935 d.C.), el rey Taejong Mu-yeol (604-661). El rey Taejong viajó a muchos lugares, pero este era el lugar en el que disfrutaba disparando flechas. Bajo el faro de este complejo turístico está una roca llamada roca Sinseon, denominada así por el mito de que los dioses y diosas bajaban aquí a relajarse.
