Su estructura fue diseñada por el arquitecto internacionalmente conocido Jean-Michel Wilmotte y exhibe los mejores diseños arquitectónicos modernos del estilo occidental. Siendo Jean-Michel Wilmotte quien diseñó el Aeropuerto Internacional de Incheon, el Centro de Arte Gana es en sí mismo una obra de arte. Su ambiente interior fue pensado para optimizar la exhibición de las artesanías.

La suave iluminación oculta en el techo crea un ambiente lujoso y claro. Esta galería de arte cuenta con tres pabellones de exhibiciones en dos pisos. Las salas están diseñadas para poder realizar distintas actividades. El primer pabellón de exhibiciones es generalmente utilizado para exposiciones en homenaje a artistas difuntos y sus trabajos. El segundo y el tercer pabellón son utilizados para eventos planeados, que a pesar del tamaño, son cómodos y prácticos, y cuentan con un sistema de sonidos del mejor alcance, permitiendo llevar a cabo funciones de música clásica, musicales y hasta eventos de músicos famosos.

El escenario al aire libre es también una de las virtudes de este lugar. Con una capacidad de 300 espectadores, permite realizar diversos eventos musicales, danzas, obras teatrales, etc.La hermosa vista abierta del parque de esculturas contrasta con el panorama de la ciudad. Los pinos y terrazas que se ubican cerca de los asientos del escenario al aire libre son de lo más pintorescos.

El Centro de Arte Gana ha sido edificado sobre una colina cercana al monte Bukhansan, con el objeto de exhibir el arte tradicional coreano en un ambiente de belleza inigualable. Después de visitar la galería, dé un paseo por el barrio de Pyeongchang-dong, otra forma de aproximarse a la cultura tradicional coreana.

Arboreto Hongneung (홍릉수목원)

Es el primer arboreto del país, que se estableció en el año 1922, cuando se instauró el proyecto forestal de Hongneung en Seúl. En este mismo arboreto se encontraba la tumba “Hongneung” de la reina Myeongseong Hwanghu (1897), la esposa del rey Gojong, de la dinastía Joseon. En la actualidad solo ha quedado una señal, porque fue trasladada a otro lugar.

Al ser el arboreto que pertenece al Instituto de Investigación Forestal de Corea, investiga y administra sistemáticamente las especies de plantas nacionales y extranjeras, realiza actividades académicas para el desarrollo del sector, y es un bosque de investigación que se esfuerza en suministrar los recursos genéticos de las plantas. Los domingos abre al público en general, y en los días de entre semana recibe a grupos de estudiantes, para que sea una actividad académica del medio ambiente y de la naturaleza, ofreciendo así la oportunidad de reflexionar y experimentar el valor del bosque.
