Puerta Paldalmun (팔달문)

La puerta Paldalmun es la entrada situada en el sur de la Fortaleza Hwaseong, designada Tesoro Nacional. Una estructura llamada ongseong (muro defensivo secundario para prevenir que la puerta principal fuese derribada con troncos) defiende el exterior de la puerta. A la derecha de la puerta hay una placa con el nombre de las personas que participaron en su construcción. La puerta Paldalmun está separada de las otras, y está situada en medio de la ciudad. La razón para esto es que el comercio se arraigó en el lugar antes de su construcción, de forma que era imposible construir en esta zona.
