Samneung, en Paju, consiste en las tumbas reales Gongneung, Sulleung y Yeongneung.

Gongneung es la tumba de la reina Jangsun (1445-1461), consorte del rey Yejong de la dinastía Joseon. Falleció mientras era princesa, por lo que su tumba es muy simple. Ni siquiera hay mangjuseok, las dos estatuas que protegen el túmulo.

Sulleung es la tumba de la reina Gonghye (1456-1474), consorte del rey Seongjong de la dinastía Joseon. Sulleung es similar a Gongneung en varios aspectos, pero tiene más piezas de piedra. La reina Gonghye fue la cuarta hija de Han Myeong-Hoe, un alto oficial del Estado, y hermana de la reina Jangsun, que está enterrada en Gongneung. Esta es la única ocasión en que dos hermanas fueron reinas en la dinastía Joseon.

Yeongneung es la tumba del rey Jinjong (1719-1728), primer hijo del rey Yeongjo, y la reina Hyosun (1715-1751). El rey Jinjong se convirtió en príncipe heredero a los 7 años, pero falleció a los 13 años en el palacio Changgyeonggung. La reina Hyosun se convirtió en princesa a los 13 años, y falleció sin descendencia en 1751, a los 37 años.
