Deokpojin Museum of Education was established by Kim Dong-seon, an elementary school teacher, for his wife, Lee In-suk who lost her eye sight due to an accident while she was also an elementary school teacher. He decided to build the museum to cheer up his wife who was deeply depressed with the fact that she could no longer teach students. Through the husband's will to give his wife opportunities to teach children again, his dream to create hands-on educational programs not available in the ordinary school education system became a reality as well. The museum was finally opened in 1996 with materials collected by the couple, comprised of a music class taught with her pump organ and Mr. Kim's collection of various school materials such as a book wrapper, a nature textbook from 1960, nickel silver lunch boxes and more. These collections attracts many visitors, from kindergarteners to university students and even family visitors.

The Beautiful House with the Glow of Sunset, located on Seokmodo Island of Ganghwa-gun, is a pension where you can appreciate the beautiful sunset in a quiet room. All its rooms have an ocean view. The pension opened in 2000, and the last episode of “The Baby Book of GOD,” an entertainment program of MBC, was filmed at this place. Handmade fruit syrups made with the fruits picked in the garden such as plum and quince are used for the beverage served in the café, of the side dishes to be eaten with Assorted BBQ. Walking along the marine promenade from the Sunset Garden, you will soon get to the beach and the vast mud flat where you can enjoy the charm of the West Sea which shows a varied landscape by the alternation of ebb and flood. If you carry a tool, you can experience the tideland catching clams and crabs. The Seokmodo Mineral Hot Spring, which opened in January of 2017, is frequented by travelers who like to bathe in hot springs.

Largo Ville Wave House is a hotel-type accommodation recently opened in 2014 in the largo ville resort district of the Ganghwado, Incheon. There are two buildings, Wave House and Garden House, with six types of rooms including Superior, Premier, Standard, and Suites. Compared to the largo ville resort with kitchenette, the Wave House is characterized by cozier interior which renders itself more suitable for couples rather than families. Seonsu Port, officially named Hupohang Port, is the largest port on Ganghwado Island, located near Dongmak Beach. Fishing boats anchored here often travel to and from waters near Seongmodo Island, known as a fishery of large-eyed herring. Visitors will find several hoe (sliced raw fish) restaurants along the port, serving hoe prepared with freshly caught seafood.

The seaside destination is close to many nearby attractions including Jeondeungsa Temple, Dongmak Beach, and a scenic drive along the coast of Ganghwado Island. The port is also known for romantic sunsets which are best enjoyed when viewed from between the port and Dongmak Beach.

Manisan Mountain is located on the southern end of Ganghwado Island, at the mid-point of the Korean Peninsula between Hallsan Mountain and Baekdusan Mountain. At the top of Manisan Mountain is Chamseongdan Altar, known to have been used by Dangun to hold sacred rituals. The 1988 Paralympics torch was lit at the top of the mountain as well as the torch for the Korea national sports games each year. If you walk up the trail with 918 stone steps, an amazing view of the west sea and Jeongsusa Temple to the east can be seen. The pine tree forest full of phytoncide is perfect for hikers to relieve their stress.

Ganghwa Jeondeungsa Temple (강화 전등사)

Jeondeungsa Temple is located in Samnangseong Fortress, which is said to have been built by the three sons of Dangun, the founder of Korea. The temple was originally called Jinjongsa Temple during the early Goryeo dynasty; the name changed to the current Jeondeungsa Temple in 1282.

Jeondeungsa Temple contains significant architectural works, including the main building Daeungbojeon Hall (a Treasure), built in 1621. Decorated with delicate carvings, it is a superlative example of the architecture of the mid-Joseon dynasty. Visitors can see names of soldiers written on the walls and columns of Daeungbojeon Hall. These soldiers fought against the French Navy and wrote their names in Jeondeungsa to pray to Buddha for good luck in war.

There are ten other structures of historical significance at the temple including Yaksajeon Hall (a Treasure), Beomjong Bell (a Treasure), and Yangheonsu Victory Monument (a Tangible Cultural Treasure). The compound is also home to many ancient trees.
