Ouvert en 1981, la Korea House est un établissement bien préservé qui présente les traditions coréennes aux coréens comme aux étrangers. Cet établissement idyllique organise divers spectacles folkloriques et programmes permettant aux visiteurs de découvrir les traditions coréennes. Il y a aussi un joli magasin vendant des objets artisanaux et un restaurant traditionnel coréen. Autrefois résidence privée de Park Paeng-nyeon, un érudit de la dynastie Joseon, la Korea House fut rénovée dans le style architectural des cours royales. C'est un joli exemple d'architecture hanok. Elle sert aussi de complexe culturel pour promouvoir la culture traditionnelle coréenne auprès des visiteurs étrangers qui pourront voir, entendre et goûter cette dernière.
Il y a en ce moment neuf programmes organisés, comme celui de la fabrication du kimchi, celui sur les objets en papier hanji ou encore celui sur la danse traditionnelle. Les cours durent environ deux heures. Bien que les cours ne soient donnés qu'en coréens les visiteurs étrangers pourront tout de même y participer car il est facile de suivre les démonstrations de l'instructeur, à l'exception du programme sur la cérémonie de thé traditionnelle. Ce festival nocturne bien connu à Séoul permet d'apprécier de magnifiques illuminations dans de hauts lieux du tourisme à Séoul. Ce festival qui a débuté en 2009 sous le nom de 'Festival des lanternes de Séoul' a changé son nom en 'Festival Bitchorong de Séoul'. L'édition 2023 marque également l'expansion du festival qui aura lieu sur la place Gwanghwamun, la place Cheonggye et la place de Séoul. Le festival propose également un marché avec des services de restauration sur la place Gwanghwamun.

Located in (no suggestions)-dong of Seoul, Hyehwa 1938 is a lodging facility which is based on the remodeling of an 80-year- old traditional Korean house. A traditional Korean house expert initially wanted to use it as an office but later decided to turn it into a guest house due to its large size. As a result, the unique beauty of traditional Korean house was revived while improving practicality. The Woojeong room and Sarang room are now resized to accommodate max 8 persons which used to be only max 4 in the past. Despite the remodeling, the aura and atmosphere of the traditional Korean house is well preserved. Inside the room, you can see that the chandelier of the rich house in the '30s are accompanied by modern furniture and electronics which maintain unique harmony. Open the windows to see sansuyu and maehwa along with other various seasonal trees with beautiful colors and also the space such as edges and sewers are well arranged to avoid any discomforts with your eyesight. The heart of architecture offers only two rooms for guests, and you are all welcome to enjoy the true beauty of Korea.

“The Place Seoul” is located in a small alley in Gyedong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul. It is a guesthouse made by remodeling an 80-year-old traditional Korean house. The ondol room furnished with traditional beddings is popular not only among foreigners but also among Koreans due to its special ambience. The ceiling of the room dates back to 80 years ago. The rafter put on the roof at the time of construction of the house shows the antiqueness of the house. The toenmaru (a narrow wooden porch running along the outside of a room) that comes alive with the frequent coming and going of people adds to the ambience of the traditional Korean house, with the Sansuyu (corni) tree and vegetable garden beside the Korean-style house creating a leisurely atmosphere. Beyond being a mere place to sleep in, “The Place Seoul” aims to be a composite cultural space whose motto is “the place to fill.” A simple wedding or a small-scale performance is held in the garden during the day. The rooms can be rented for small meetings. “The Place Seoul” sponsors “WWOOF KOREA,” an NGO promoting environment-friendly agriculture as well as the right dietary life, “Slow Food Korea,” and “Slow Box.” As such, the place serves a special healthy breakfast consisting of homemade bread, handmade yogurt, and organic fruits and vegetables. In addition, the toilet paper, detergent, shampoo, etc. provided are all environment-friendly products. “The Place Seoul” is located on Gyedong-gil Road, a famous tourist attraction in Seoul. It offers easy access to Bukchon Hanok Village, which is on the other side of the Gyedong-gil alley, as well as other major tourist attractions within walking distance including Changdeokgung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Samcheong-dong, and Insa-dong. Atelier Seoul est la galerie de l’artiste Park Young Sook.
