Cheongju Yukgeori Market is a famous traditional market in Cheongju where consumers can purchase agricultural produce directly grown and harvested in the countryside as well as various industrial products. An early morning market (so-called Dokkaebi Market) opens daily, and farmers sell agricultural products they have grown themselves. It first began during the Joseon Dynasty as Cheongju Market on the side of the Musimcheon Stream embankment and has been called Yukgeori Market since 1973. Today, around 4,000 merchants work at some 1,600 stores over a total area of over 1 million square meters. There are also 5-day markets that run on dates ending in 2 and 7. Recently, an arcade and a parking lot have been installed and, as a result, it was chosen as an outstanding traditional market in the country, thus serving as a model for merchants in other regions.

Sumokwon Theme Park is a multi-purpose theme park-style tourist complex located in the oldest and largest pine tree colony on Jejudo Island. In 2018, "Sumokwon Night Market" was established in the theme park over 13,223 square meters of land. It is the country's first-ever night market to be set up in the heart of nature, inside a pine forest. Its primary objective was to create job opportunities for multicultural families and was also planned as a night market in which young start-ups and local small traders can take part. Currently, a total of 18 food trucks are in operation including two by multicultural families, nine by young start-ups and seven by Jeju locals. Around 30 teams of sellers consisting of small local traders are in business. Visitors can sit on benches installed throughout the park and enjoy delicious late-night snacks such as burgers, gimbap and udon. In addition to food trucks, it is also fun to check out shops that sell adorable items and souvenirs.

Daeryong Market is an alley market that reproduces the appearance of Yeonbaek Market to maintain a livelihood for residents who temporarily evacuated from Yeonbaek-gun in Hwanghae-do, to Gyodongdo Island during the Korean War. Gyodongdo Island has been the center of economic development for over 50 years. As most of the displaced elderly who created the market passed away and the population rapidly decreased, the market size also reduced considerably. However, with the opening of Gyodongdaegyo Bridge in July 2014, it has become a must-see course for tourists to take pictures of Daeryong Market, which looks like a movie set in the 1960s. Gyodong Giga Island, also referred to as Gyodong Swallow House, opened in late march of 2022 and provides tour information using intellectual techonology as well as bicycle and smartwatch rental services to tourists. In addition, there are various experience programs such as a VR video experience and "Making Gyodong Newspaper."

In addition, there are original overseas books, limited edition books that are difficult to access, and designer books where the book itself is a work of art. It is not just a place to enjoy books but also a select shop and cafe. On the other side of the select shop is a separate section for writers and designers in the Busan area, highlighting the local identity. There is also a well-equipped space for children, so it is good for the whole family to enjoy cultural life together.

As a traditional market naturally formed during the Japanese colonial era, Yeongdo Bongnae Market boasted a large scale, but became smaller in size by being partially incorporated with the road after the establishment of Busandaegyo Bridge. The commercial district was further reduced when Namhang Market was formed on the other side. However, food companies such as Samjin Foods and Seongsil Foods, which boast a history and tradition of more than 50 years, maintain their positions within the marketplace and continue to be favored by the local community.
