Le parc national Woraksan se situe entre les monts Baekdudaegan, Sobaeksan et Songnisan. Le mont Woraksan est réputé pour ses cascades et ses étangs. Le site a été désigné parc national le 31 décembre 1984. Le mont est notamment entouré par le lac Chungjuho au nord, les 8 paysages magnifiques de Danyang et le mont Sobaeksan à l'est, et le mont Songnisan au sud. Le plus haut pic de Woraksan est le pic Yeongbong, situé à une altitude de 1097 mètres. Le site est aussi réputé pour ses grandes roches et ses chemins de randonnée. 

Temple Deokjusa

Le temple Deokjusa est une branche du temple Beopjusa, temple principal du 5ème district de l’ordre du bouddhisme coréen de Joggye. On dit que le temple a été fondé par la princesse Deokju, dernière princesse du royaume de Silla, en l’an 586 (9ème année du règne du roi Jinpyeong de Silla), mais son fondateur et la date exacte de sa fondation n’ont pas été vérifiées.

D’après la légende, la princesse Deokju a séjourné dans ces lieux avec le prince Maui, y a construit le temple et l’a baptisé Deokjusa. Le temple se trouvait autrefois en face du bouddha gravé dans la roche Deokjusa Maaebul (trésor n° 406), mais il a été brûlé durant la guerre de Corée. Le temple actuel est le résultat d’efforts de construction entrepris dans les années 1970, et se trouve à 1,7 km du site original.

Situé dans le parc national Woraksan, le Centre des expériences des cultures coréennes est un endroit où l'on peut découvrir la culture traditionnelle coréenne. Le centre a été construit sur le site d'un ancien bâtiment de l'école et comprend une salle en mode de vie appelée Hwangtobang. Le centre offre une centaine d'activités de saisons et permanentes, qui comprennent l'équitation, le tir à l'arc, fabrication du injeolmi (gâteau de riz recouvert de farine de haricot), la cueillette de maïs, et des jeux folkloriques. Les participants peuvent éprouver toute une gamme d'activités culturelles et apprendre de la sagesse de nos ancêtres. Des moniteurs diplômés du centre travaillent en permanence sur le développement de nouveaux programmes afin de fournir la jeunesse d'aujourd'hui et la possibilité de découvrir la culture et la tradition coréenne. De plus, le centre offre des repas élaborés avec des produits locaux.

Chungju wild flowers and old house visit is a traditional Korean house village located near Chungju lake, Salmi-myeon, Chungju. Originally, it is an old house for Choi Eung Seong built late in Chosun dynasty. It was once about to be destroyed as the result of building Chungju dam, but it was fortunately moved to the current location. Now, various traditional events or performances are held, and also used as a house for one night stay.
The owner sells wild flowers and operates a wild flower café, so it is finally named as Chungju wild flowers and old house visit. Around the garden with a well that actually operates, there are anchae, sarangchae and haengrangchae that together form the shape of square. In each building, there are rooms decorated nicely with old furniture, paintings and so on. You can also reserve a BBQ place. Outside the old house, there are lots of items that our ancestors used to use and behind the old house, great forests are located to come in harmony with the traditional house. In front of the parking lot, a half moon shaped pond is located and the old house, Hamwoljeong achieves a great harmony with it. Suanbo hot spring is within 10 minutes of driving from there.
