Paldalmun est la porte sud de la Forteresse Hwaseong, désigné trésor national N° 402. Une forme de croissant "ongseong» (défense de la paroi secondaire d'empêcher l'entrée principale se décompose de billes de bois) est construit à l'extérieur de la porte. Sur le mur de droite de la porte est d'une plaque qui contient les noms des personnes impliquées dans la construction de la barrière. La porte Paldalmun est unique en ce qu'il est séparé du reste des portes, et situé dans le centre de la ville occupée. La raison en est que le commerce a pris racines dans les portes avant sa reconstruction, ce qui rend impossible de construire dans ce domaine.
