Nongoldam-gil Street, formed in 1941, was transformed in 2010 with the "Nongoldam-gil Street" project by the Donghae Culture Center. With the help from the village seniors and local artists, the street became a canvas storytelling the history of Mukhohang Port and the lives of the villagers. There are also many cafes located along the street, perfect for taking a break to enjoy the view.

Buheung Hoetjip is a restaurant near Mukho Port specializes in serving fresh seafood caught the same day, exclusively using wild-caught fish for its menu. The restaurant closes for the day once the ingredients are sold out. Its signature dish is mul hoe (cold raw fish soup). Other menu items include modeum hoe (assorted sliced raw fish), daegu tang (codfish soup), and hoe deopbap (raw fish bibimbap). Mukho Lighthouse (묵호 등대)

Established on June 8, 1963, Mukho Lighthouse serves as a guarding beacon of ships coming and going at Mukho port. Mukho Lighthouse is a 12 meter-tall white circular concrete structure with two floors located at an altitude of 67 m. It is surrounded by a cozy park where forsythias blossom in spring and visitors can overlook the sea. The park is home to the Maritime Fishing Exhibition Hall, where visitors can learn about the history of fishing in the area. The lighthouse and its surrounding area are full of quiet and comfortable spots to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Because of its location, the lighthouse is absolutely crucial to the safety of ships and boats coming into the port. The lighthouse’s large light, installed in October 2003, was developed by Korean scientists and uses a rotating prism lens that can shine beams of light as far as 42 km.

Dojjaebigol Sky Valley (도째비골스카이밸리)

Dojjaebigol Sky Valley, located between Mukho Lighthouse and Wolsotaekji, provides a beautiful view of East Sea with various activities. Dojjaebi is a regional dialect of the word dokkaebi (Korean goblin). Opened in 2021, Dojjaebigol Sky Valley offers entertaining facilities such as Sky Walk, Sky Cycle, and Giant Slide as well as Dojjaebi Art House where visitors can buy souvenirs. Visitors can enjoy beautiful views and exciting leisure sports such as 59-meter-high glass-bottom Sky Walk, floating in air with Sky Cycle, and 30-meter-long Giant Slide.

Mukhohang Port (묵호항)

Situated in Donghae, Mukhohang Port opened in 1941 and used to be the most prolific trading port on the east coast. However, with the steady change in the economy, it has now become a center of fishing. A large wholesale seafood market at the port offers a wide array of freshly caught seafood. From early in the morning, merchants across the country gather at the market to purchase fresh seafood. Dried fish are also available.

Mukho Lighthouse, located atop Dongmunsan Mountain, opened in June 1963 as an unmanned lighthouse guiding ships into Mukhohang Port. The two-story lighthouse is 12 meters tall and is made from cement. The white lighthouse stands out against the blue sea and sky to create a fantastic image. The area surrounding the lighthouse has been turned into a small park. There is a large rock inscribed with a poem about the sea near the park entrance.

Sanya near Mukho Port is famed for its ssambap (leaf wraps and rice) and offers two vegetable-centric dishes: saengseon gui (grilled fish), accompanied by fresh vegetables, and ssambap paired with a tradtional, rustic doenjang jjigae (soybean paste jjigae). Additionally, the menu includes samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly), gabeurisal (grilled blade-end fatback), and someori gukbap (beef head meat and rice soup). Donganjae, a traditional Korean style house located near the beach in Donghae City of Gangwon-do, was opened in June 2018. The traditional Korean style house is equipped with modern facilities for convenience while still maintaining the elegant mood of a traditional house. The rooms are located in 5 traditional buildings. The foot bath in the garden gives the feel of a pool villa. Each of the 5 independent buildings (named Mureung, Duta, Chooam, Mukho, and Mangsang to accommodate 3-4 guests in each building) has an upper floor of which the three sides can be opened to command an unobstructed view. The outdoor foot bath in the center of the garden with pine trees relieves fatigue, and the soothing scent of pine trees completes the ambiance. It is possible to cook food in the room. Each room also has a bathroom equipped with bidet and a shower booth. The recently constructed buildings are also handicapped-friendly. There is a parking space exclusive for these guests. There is also no raised spot at the gate and the threshold is made very low for easy entrance and exit. Various tools such as Tuho, Yut, Jegi, and top are ready for playing traditional games. You can likewise try wearing hanbok, Korean traditional clothes. The nearby tourist attractions include Cheongok Natural Cave, Chooam Chotdaebawi Rock, Mangsang Beach, Mukho Por,t and Mukho Lighthouse. There is a walking path behind the pension in the pine forest.
